Re: Gauge cluster pics
Well I had posted on the first page of this thread with my factory dash setup with tach, speed warning and clock. I have since bought the whole cluster full of gauges from Speed Hut.com
I now have no cable hooked to the speedo from the transmission at all. The speedo is GPS and it's dead on the mark. I want to redo the dash and tilt it up some and have it flat like the aluminum piece ones.

Here are the original gauges:
Here's the tach cluster that I'm putting in: And here are the original gauges, with a different bezel, that I put in for now just to cover the hole:

Re: Gauge cluster pics
White face gauge kit. New bezel. Sure brightened things up.

Re: Gauge cluster pics
Hi, my name is Eddie, I own a 1971 Chevy C10 and I bought some blue led bulbs for the guage cluster which the previous owner put " Auto Meter Guages" in and they weren't very pricy bulbs so of course they went out and the issue I have with getting new ones is that the company that I bought them from somehow me a different shade of blue and with my first order that same lighter shade two of them were in there so never matched the deep blue in the rest of the gauges, so the question is where did you get those blue lights?

Re: Gauge cluster pics
Has anyone else done a replacement with VDO gauges? If so, do you have pics and gauge sizes that you used?

Re: Gauge cluster pics
These are New Vintage 68 Series, off the shelf except for changing the numerals from red to the same green as the hash marks. They custom built the clock to match. More details here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...1&postcount=35 Shane

Re: Gauge cluster pics
Got a drivetrain swap going on and want to re-do my gauges during or after,
Is there any reason NOT to go with a GPS based speedometer? I love to go ahead and take out the old cable and leave it out. thanks for any help |
