Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
ya i was thinking about going to Tom Lowe for his lump port kit and Head rebuild Parts kit 1.94/1.6 Valves. so why the four barrel just less tunning hassel than the three ones and are Langdon Cast Iron headers better then the tube type?

Saw this beast on CL. Can someone archive the listing to preserve what was done to the motor? I would, but I only have a phone for internet these days, and I dont know how. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
I'm wanting to go to a dual carb setup on my 235. I'm running Fenton headers now, any advice on manifolds/carb setups? I really like to dual 1bbl with oil bath air cleaners, but how tough is this to run/keep tuned?

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
Love all these bad A$$ inline 6's! In a few months I'm gonna have a new tricked out 6 to add to this thread. Tom Lowe (inliners.org) is building me a new long block with a custom grind roller cam, lump port heads with roller rockers a clifford 4 barrel intake & I'm putting a F.A.S.T. Fuel injection setup on top of that. projected output of 300+ horse & 320 Ft. lbs of torque. I can't wait!

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
Hey, was wondering if you guys could help me. My 68 has a 250 in it and I backed it with a TH350 and used a Flexplate that came off a 327(14"???) The problem I am having, is the Starter will not bolt up to the Block, the holes line up but the starter shaft hits the Flexplate. My question is, do I need to find a different starter? or do I need a smaller Flexplate? Any help would be great, thanks guys.

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
Didnt think of that, the problem is I would need to many shims, it needs to go in a least 1/2" more till I can bolt it up.

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
292 with 194 head. Want to run 2x1 bbl on offy intake but can't figure out how to run it with my stock throttle linkage. Engine is backed by an 833 overdrive transmission. Engine sat in a shop or about 20 years. Wasn't stuck and pretty much brand new on the inside....paint marks on valve springs, rod caps, cam...ect. Could still see the cross hatch marks on the cylinder walls. One piston was damaged by a screw. Replaced piston and there ya have it. Hope to finally hear her run this weekend! Wish me luck!
