Re: 55 in NH build
I picked up some fire sleeve for the lines. Its supposed to be good for 1200 degrees. Seats arrived today!!! I ordered buckets and decided to go with a bench mount to give me some flexibility. I think im going to move the seats inward a bit as the steering will is a bit to my right. At the narrowest point between seats I have 11.5" so I have some room to play with.

Re: 55 in NH build
More progress. Got the new drive shaft installed. upgraded the rear pinon yoke to a 1350. I finally finished plumbing my fuel under the intake. I bought a 2020 Camaro floor console which should be in next week. I was able to buy one with black leather and white stitching to match my seats. It has wireless charging and usb ports so I think it will be a good starting point. My plan is to build an extension piece where the ac vents normally are to house my stereo and AC controls

Re: 55 in NH build
Looks good. I like how you did the fuel line. I had to do the same with my drive shaft. I changed mine to all 1410. I can’t wait to see what you do with your center console.

Re: 55 in NH build
Thanks Jason. The console is a bit of a gamble but figured it was worth it. I got the harness and asked them for the matching plug with a few inches of wire. theres a lot going on under those things. has wireless charging, led lighted console and storage, USB ports. I may be able to use the other buttons in some way, the Ebrake button got me thinking maybe going electric.
The camaro has a high trans tunnel and the console saddles it. I want to keep my console thin as possible. I figure I can make a perimeter base to match the truck floor and have it covered with carpet. I made fiberglass consoles for my 32 ford and 67 camaro. still have green floral foam nightmares.

Re: 55 in NH build
Wow. I thought I was crazy with some of my modern mods Cordless charging even. The harness and plugs are key! I’ve spent more time hunting electrical connectors than anything. I’ll be anticipating results. I like the idea of the electric e-brake. Here’s a link to one that I saw on this forum.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/27382725849...mis&media=COPY I don’t remember who used it.

Re: 55 in NH build
I think kabwe/ Bam used one in his build. Basically an electric linear actuator you can buy at a kit if different places. Online or some local surplus stores may be the cheapest option. Should include a dash light in that upgrade, lol.

Re: 55 in NH build
I've been looking at the E-stopp kit so far which has good reviews. I saw some complaints with the speedway unit.
Jason when I clicked on your link I also came across this on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/31358938075...QAAOSw8bZg3zQX For just an actuator the camaro one seems to have a lot of wires!!! dsraven on the E-stopp kit it ties into the ingition on the standard install to that its disabled while the ignition is on

Re: 55 in NH build
Started laying out the computers. Looks the the engine and transmission units will fit under the seat frame but just barley. The fuel pump controller is kinda of an awkward little thing with a short amount of harness so it looks like it will need to find a home under the console along with the ignition relays.

Remember that a module with cooling fins moulded in will be looking for some air movement to keep cool.

Re: 55 in NH build
Dsraven maybe when I build the perimeter that the console will sit on I can add some perforated black metal inserts for the side panels. I think with the AC evaporator under the dash is pretty limited for space.

Re: 55 in NH build
I think a desktop computer fan runs on 12v, maybe stick one of those in there. you could probably find a heat sensor to turn the fan on automatically when the box gets hot if need be. at least, like you say, vent it and see if something starts acting up.

Re: 55 in NH build
I bought a couple of actuators, one for each side and the E-Stopp control box along with a couple of the shortest ebrake cables I could find. Should have around two hundy in the whole thing.

Re: 55 in NH build
Thats good to know graystoke. I actually picked up the camaro unit and harness to try to mess with. I'm thinking im going to order the Estopp bracket. I notice their control boxes are out of stock but may be an option if needed

Re: 55 in NH build
Started collecting parts for my exhaust. went with Borla mufflers, got all the vbands, hangers etc. I want to keep my exhaust as high as possible so I fabbed up a new transmission crossmember to allow the pipes to share the same space.

Re: 55 in NH build
Got the new wheels and tires in today. went with 18's running 265's in the rear and 245's in the front. rear needs to come down but there is currently no wood in the bed, rear bumper or fuel so im hoping it will come down an inch or so.

Re: 55 in NH build
The exhaust looks great. V-bands are the best especially if you ever need to remove the exhaust. The flex joints are a must to with SS.
Well done. Marc

Re: 55 in NH build
Found a nice set of C5 Z06 calipers and rotors for short money. Used Van Steel adapters. I plan to start on the rear brakes this week.

Re: 55 in NH build
I've been slowly tackling the electrical on the truck. Engine is close to being started but I've been swamped building out two new Datacenters. I got my catch can installed this weekend. just waiting for a missing 90 degree connector for the drivers side valve cover. I used all OEM quick connectors which made the install easy. I'm still trying to figure out what to use for a vent on the ZL1 fuel pump.

Re: 55 in NH build
Ya I'm hoping the brakes are good. I just rebuilt the rears and I have a Wilwood adjuster off the the hydroboost. The PO installed the hydro and complained about the brakes but I believe he may have had his lines crossed.
I still haven't messed with my ebrake yet. I picked up a Camaro electric setup that I'm going to try to wire into the Camaro center console.
