It survived Little Rock Arkansas for the last 45 years, I wonder how it will do up here in New York...

Re: Lets see the survivor trucks! original paint only!

I've had this original paint '72 super for a couple years now. Just 52k on the clock, the 402 is super healthy, and the air blows cold. One hell of a cruiser in the summer!

Purchased this truck last November, shipped her home, buffed like crazy, and the original paint shined up great! She is all original down to the paint stripe which is on the SPI!

Re: Lets see the survivor trucks! original paint only!

Thanks for the compliment, Chris, I appreciate it. Here are a few more, including one from the day I went to look at the truck while it was for sale.

Re: Lets see the survivor trucks! original paint only!

tidmack, that's a great looking survivor truck. I like that you went back to the original wheels and wheel covers. Would you mind posting pics of the interior? I never get enough of seeing the few of these that look like they did originally.

Re: Lets see the survivor trucks! original paint only!

Strangely, I need to get some photos of the engine compartment and interior after I cleaned the truck up. Unfortunately the truck is stored on a life, above another car, so it may be a few weeks up here in WI before I get it out. I'll remember to post some this spring. It's a pretty untouched truck, so I'd actually consider going with a bias ply 1/4" pinstripe tire on it at some point. We'll see what kind of extra money I have this summer...

Sounds good. I look forward to the updates. I really like the look of the bias ply tires too. I had considered them for my truck too.

Not so much fading I would think, since mine has been covered most all its life. I'd think SMS's should be closer to a parchment color like mine, not darker.
Seems the pics are gone, any possibility of attaching them directly so not to loose them in the future?

Nice truck Rudy, mines an Arizona survivor but I readily admit it's seen the rattle can too though.
