Re: 77 to 55 thanksgiving

It looks pretty cool with the top gone. I still think it would make a cool roadster.

Re: 77 to 55 thanksgiving

Has the snow melted yet? The snow here has melted that fell last weekend and now we are down to the snow that was left from winter...... will it ever end!

Did you find another roof?

Well my 69 GMC is going just fine. Drove it on and off through out the winter. My 59 GMC is still in storage near you! Planning to be down there from mid July to Mid August this year.

Do you need a 4-core 57 rad or a 4-core 77 rad?

Either way, what I did on another project was take my 2-core rad to a local shop and had them recore it. Basically, they took the upper and lower tanks off the old one and put them on a new 4-core section.

I think it cost me between $100 and $200 in Calgary.

Re: 77 to 55 thanksgiving

well, i used a gastank from a s-10, i took off 1 inch from each side of the lower frame rail, made 2 straps, used a piece of angle for the cross mount bar so i did'nt have to move the rear cross member on the frame, it fits verry nice, and only took about and hour, i still have to decide wether im going to cut the upper frame rail to give room for the filler neck, or cap the fill hole on the tank, and make a new fill hole in the center-top of the tank and fillit from the box floor, but i like the idea of filling the truck from the fender, gives me the box to be able to be used.....what do you think?.....max.
