Re: Roushinator's 72 C10 Stepside Restore/Build

Ryan,

The Mac's engine left is the way to go. Just used it to install my sons LS in his 49. Awesome product. I am ready to see both of our trucks done. We both have a ways to go. I definitely do.

Re: Roushinator's 72 C10 Stepside Restore/Build

Had to relocate the AC and ALT. Dirty Dingo did not make a kit for the L99 but Brent worked with me and came up with this kit.

They are awesome. I hope i can find some time to be able to install these this weekend.

Wow - I've been seriously missing out on this! Nice see a cool stepper in the works. That PB center bracing and Camaro engine combo really upped your game!

I had a few minutes to work on the truck. Installed the AC bracket and passenger motor mount adapter plate.

Now back to work....

Re: Roushinator's 72 C10 Stepside Restore/Build

Got some work done today. Removed the coolant hose that was in the way of my adjustable motor mounts.

I was a little nervous about installing this plug after reading all of the horror stories about this. But with the right tools it all went smoothly. I had to buy a 34mm socket and a 17mm allen head socket. I probably will never use those again. LOL.

Motor mounts installed.

Got around to cutting on the pallet so that i could get the hoist close enough to connect to the motor.

Who is ready for a motor install party? Just need to put on the new oil pan and it will be ready!

Re: Roushinator's 72 C10 Stepside Restore/Build

Got a big toy in the mail today...

A Custom Porterbuilt Inner Frame stiffener that fits with the 6L80e. First one made!

A big thanks goes out to Nate at Porterbuilt for working with me to make this happen!

I am going to mock it up this weekend and hopefully have it off to powder coating soon!!!

A little work done today.... Had to remove the factory Cab mounts to accommodate the Porterbuilt IFS. I have new PB Cab mounts to install.
