Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
If you look at my truck it is a '88 with a billet '94 grille and you can imagine the dual headlights in there

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Here are my two, both 98's. The ext-cab Z71 I bought new and it now has 120,000 miles on it and the K3500 I bought in November of 2007 with 94,600 miles on it now has 104,000 miles on it.
The Z71 has the 5.7L/4L60E combo and the K3500 has the 7.4L/4l80E combo. Wayne |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
OMG! The peek of the tires n wheels and front end got my attention. I am a GMC fan. Your truck looks fantastic as is. I cannot imagine wanting to change it. I know you can tire of a look after a while though.
Care to share the trucks specs with us?

Well alright. As my nephew would say "that's the berries". He means it in a good way. It's cool. Thanks.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Noticed I never posted pics of my '92 Silverado. When I first got it. Don't have a pic with original rims.
The first winter with the black grill and 305/70-16's and cranked a little so she wouldn't rub. What it looked like a month ago. And now. 3" body lift, tb crank, 3" rear block, and same 305/70-16's. Still need to do some work to make it all one color. |

Those Minnesota road salt treatments are brutal on the sheet metal. You've got it headed in the right direction though.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Well, I kinda went spraybomb-crazy in September. I didn't have any money to spend on my truck, so I concentrated on making it look better on the cheap. Sprayed my billet grille inserts black...pulled off the top part of my body moulding -- the used-to-be shiny part -- and sprayed it black...sprayed my fading mirrors, windshield wiper arms, and hitch receiver...sprayed my aftermarket parking light bezels (props to 1badgmc; this is one of his pet peeves, and he's right -- they look much better black). Still have to spray my wheel wells; bought special undercoating paint for that. Also added new door emblems (props to 910506chevy) -- the most expensive thing I did to it all month. Also pulled off the fender trim. Washed it, waxed it, and grabbed the camera.

Nope, it's got a black rubber mat on the inside, and a black plastic cap.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Belated in getting these pics of my 89 on here, but just cleaned it up and it is looking as good as it can without a little body surgery. Traded out the wheels from a cop tahoe and they match pretty good. new Jasper 350 w/ 5 speed. Had it for years but time for it to go...Just purchased a 95 ext. cab that is sweet...Love the look of this model truck
