that gap would have been considered excellent by GM standards. If the gap is even the whole way down (or as close as you can get it), and the body lines line up, you just have to call it done. If you got every gap on these trucks perfect you would spend a solid month just on the panel allignment.

Re: 1972 c10 om 2001 tahoe 4x4 chassis

I am not entirely sure how I have missed this thread, considering I have been on here for years, and searched often and even inquired about this exact swap before. The only exception being a long wheel base swap. In for future...

No fakerwade. I didn't see your thread either, odd since you started it about the time I came on board. Nice swaps guys..

Re: 1972 c10 om 2001 tahoe 4x4 chassis

Have you done anything on the shifting linkage of the transmission yet? I'm currently doing the same swap and trying to decide to go with the shifting rods or go to a push-pull cable. Here is how mine is going so far...

I live in Ak and am staring a swap of our 72’ c-10 to a 07’ Escalade. Would love to talk to you about your project. We are pulling the Escalade body off in the next couple weeks.

Just curious if there's been any further progress/status updates to report? It's been over a year, so I was wondering how it's holding up and riding for you on the newer chassis?
