What size are those speakers behind your seat? Did you build the boxes? Excellent work!

It just a dual line aluminum trans cooler. You can find them in speedway, summit, Jegs etc. I think I paid like 30 bucks for it.

Re: 1971 Chevy C10 SWB - Elizabethtown, Ky
Got the motor fired up with no issues, keeping fingers crossed there. Got the side view mirror on, back glass in, inner fender bolted and finally paint on the front fenders. Got the emblems put on. Now if I can get the drivers door painted I can get it hung and assembled.

Also got the overflow mounted which I thought turned out nice. Here are the rest of the pics I have been meaning to upload. I added the 350 turbo fire decal to the breather to give it a little character.

Re: 1971 Chevy C10 SWB - Elizabethtown, Ky
There are two 6.5 inch Kenwood Excelerons and one 10 inch Kenwood Exceleron sub behind the seat and then a 6.5 Kenwood in each keck panel and two four inch speaker in the dash all running off a 900 watt Kenwood Exceleron amp. Yes I did build the speaker panel in the back. The 10 inch sub came loaded in it's own box. Thanks for the compliments.

Re: 1971 Chevy C10 SWB - Elizabethtown, Ky
Picked up some Moon floor mats to compliment the black and white interior, got my door panels on the passenger side and added an extrememly overpriced moon temp gauge since I am only running the stock hot / cold temp gauge. Thought it would be nice to now out on the motor what it was actually running.

Re: 1971 Chevy C10 SWB - Elizabethtown, Ky
Took the weekend to do what should have been done early on, when the cab and bed was off the frame, but live and learn. At the time I thought I would not need it, but changed my mind as I wanted the truck lower. So, I had already installed 4 inch drop springs and decided to add 2 inch drop blocks to get the back end down to a 6 inch static drop. With all that said. I put in a C-notch kit and with the drop I added the shock relocation kit to help with the shock angle from drop. Really happy with the results.

Got everything finally painted. Now for all the hard stuff of fitting and getting everything lined up. Got the passenger side fender on, drivers door on and hardware started.

Re: 1971 Chevy C10 SWB - Elizabethtown, Ky
Got the vent window assembly in, along with regualtor window, handle, door panel and all the other fun stuff...Glad it's not a four door. Hopefully tonight or somewhere along the week I can get the drivers fender on and start lining it all up. So now I can say the interior is completely 100% finished. whew....
On another note. When I went with the 6 inch drop in the back the adjustable track bar that I had is now hitting the rear end cover. I ordered the bent track bar from CPP, should be in on Thursday and we'll get that slapped in and see what that does.

Re: 1971 Chevy C10 SWB - Elizabethtown, Ky
Thanks for the compliments. It keeps me going. So... I have lowered the truck 6" in the back. 4 inch springs and two inch blocks. Happy with the stance, but now the track bar is rubbing differentional cover, so I ordered the "bent" bar from CPP and got it in and very happy with the fit, etc. Now I am thinking about changing rear end cover to something finned and aluminum.

Got lots done last night. Drivers fender on. Frt bumper and grill on, along with both hood hinges. Now lots of aligning to do.

Re: 1971 Chevy C10 SWB - Elizabethtown, Ky
Took off work yesterday and took it to the next town North of me, Mt. Washington. Saw some work this guy did as far as putting on exhaust and was extremely pleased. So we loaded it up and took it to his place Expert Exhaust. He installed collectors, 2.25 inch pipe and 50 series Flowmaster mufflers. I had them run just short of the rear bumper and turn down. Really didn't want them seen. After we got done we headed back to Elizabethtown and got the front end aligned. Almost ready for the road.
