Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
This is a true statement, also probably why I'm not big into electrical items because I would just start cutting stuff, but I do need to learn some soldering, so I'm sure soon I'll find an excuse to do some electrical stuff!

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
And im all like BOOM!!!! lol So I got home today and my Voltage Regulator for the car and for the cluster finally showed up. I quickly installed them and then started to think. On the ride home the oil blew out the dipstick so I know i have oil pressure. So I checked the oil and ill be damned if their is barely any oil in there. Well go to Advanced and realize adding oil is just as expensive as their $19.99 special. So I get oil and a filter. Well god knows when the last oil changed was as it was nasty black and their was surface rust on the filter. It was damned hard to even get the filter off!! Either way i got the oil changed and it takes awhile but eventually it starts showing oil pressure on the gauge. So all my gauges now work!!!!!! Woohoo Can you tell im in a good mood? Prob will have to do another oil change pretty quick because im pretty sure the old filter was clogged up thus why the oil blew out the dipstick on the ride back from ATL...

EEEK! Hopefully it didn't do any damage! You may want to drop the pan and replace the oil pump if it was that bad! It's probably covered in sludge. The pan is probably pretty dirty still too.

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Im thinking their is just a clog in the extension because the engine sounds great when running. No ticks, knocks, or anything... So im going to try to pull the extension off a clean it up a bit

I figured it couldn't have been anything too catastrophic... I mean, you did drive it from Ga to Tn.

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Well the weekend has been interesting. Got to go down to AL with Rusbuilt and pick him up a nice toy. Then had to attend a party so I didnt do anything saturday but today I managed to do a little work on the floor panel. Lots more to cut out still but got it cut out above the support and jsut need to cut it out next to the door. Plus some other little spots

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Hi, I've been following you~ Are you going to cut the piece in question out? I remember taking this piece out~ I took my torch and lightly applied O2 to blow it away. It has spot rivets, but was easier just to do what I did. The channel or rocker is galvanized I think~ or had some kind of coating on it. I had to grind it down to metal to weld my new floor pan in/ stitch welded it into place. Are you going to replace that entire floor pan or just what you need?

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
My plan is to cut the rest out towards the door but thats really it. Im going to coat the support with weld through primer and drill some holes in the panel to sport weld it down. Im only planning to replace what is needed. The metal to the left is pretty solid except where it angles up. So im going to cut that little section out and weld in a patch there too.
Also i cut out the big section next to the support then in the middle of the support and used a claw hammer to pop the weld/rivets off. It was fairly easy

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
LOL... I had to do the floor pans on the truck so i have a little experience. Just making sure I dont cut anything as I do it. The truck was easier though as I can just crawl under it.. Im hoping maybe i can cut the panel up next weekend and start fitting it but i still have a bunch to do so we will see
