Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?
Gmcdeadhead,
I put those same wheels on my 66 3/4 ton GMC. On mine, the center caps don't fit the rear hubs -- they aren't deep enough. Did you do anything special to get the rear caps to fit? Thanks. Rob Posted via Mobile Device |

Heres another, 1960 GMC Custom. This is the day it was delivered. I have the 17.5 wheels and hubcaps for it.

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?
Thanks. Its a small hand crank winch, bought this one from the original owner in Idaho. I have another one similar with a winch to pick up or pull up deer, its a 4x4 that was primarily used for hunting. I dont remember what this one was for ??

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?
Thanks for the additions 60-66. Those '60-'61 tu tones are very sharp.Love the stance on the gold '60. Are the 17.5's going back on the GMC?

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?
Thats the plan but that may be awhile with other projects coming first. Trying to find NOS or better chrome GMC caps for it.

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?
Another one from the archives. This is the reason many 3/4 tons were sold for, carrying a camper during the booming economy years for the middle class.

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?
This 3/4 ton GMC got plenty of TLC. This is the calibur of vehicle the hobby needs. THese type of trucks rarely show up at your typical car show. IMO, the shortbed Chevy thing gets a little over done.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GMC-S...item5aef87c81c

Re: Where's the 3/4 ton love?
I have been photobombing the site since I joined but here is a good reason to post more.
My 1964 C20. 283 4 speed. 128k miles. Manual everything and radio delete. It lugged a camper for many years and then sat in the AZ sun and roasted with the camper in the back so it still has the original wood in the bed. It has never had major work done and everything works. The motor is strong. The clutch and tranny are excellent. It isn't my primary vehicle but I use it to go back and forth a few miles to the horse barn every day hauling feed and hay. |
