Okay, I'll end this hi-jacking interim with a few "finished for now" pics.
Siding, insulation & sheet-rock are being scheduled for next years money explosion event.
(having two exterior walls STILL not insulated in the kitchen, I'm thinking I've done good to get this far.

...I think I need a bigger garage.

That miniature rollup door is SO cute!

Could that dark sillouette in the background possibly be the wife slowly shaking her head in disbelief that you're photographing a garage to post on the Interweb??

May not so much disbelief cause she's used to but maybe she was thinking more along the lines of...MEN!

Yeah 'cute' for sure but being able to roll the engine hoist & the engine that's currently on a stand through it, is worth any & all ribbing I'll ever get about it.

Yeah, been awhile...

Recap front to back:
Electric fans / serp belt assembly / 355 crate motor / 87 Vette TPI
700r / 241 t-case / D60-14BFF / 4:56 gears / 4whl disc brakes / 37" MTR's / H2 alloy wheels, that's the drive train.

Body will be orange w/a white top.
Possibley a cowl hood.
Full cage, PRP seats, spray in sound deadening.

Ring any bells?

I like the plasma cart but I have a question, is houeskeeping at the local Holiday Inn mad that they are missing a cart???

I found it in a corner of a warehouse I do service work for, it was all covered in dust, so I inquired about it.

Got it for free and free is always good, rolls excellent too!

OK, it's been 4 days, time for an update on either the garage or the Blazer.

Nothing all that exciting but things are still moving forward.

Garage:
Got my lighting up, installed four 8ft H.O.'s, three together on one switch and the fourth on a three-way between the passthrough doors for coming/going.
Moved the overhead door button inside for easier, more convenient access and started the insulation process. (putting up insulation sux)

Blazer:
The POR is here but need to finish the insulation so I can get the garage up to temp before painting it.

The fifth H2 wheel has been located.

I did finally "use" the garage as a garage though, pulled out and used a lot of good power tools.
Even fired up the plasma cutter.

Started working on retrofitting an old truck plow blade to fit a buddy's tractor.
