Looks like 3 to 4 inches might have to be removed from the fenders to match the cab...

I hadn't even thought that far ahead, what happens with the grille, and looks to me like your going to have to add height the fenders. Is that right? I guess with what you've done so far that ought to be pretty easy. You guys are absolutely blowing my mind. Can we fast forward to the end so I can see the finished product. Are you to a point where you can show us an open door, just to see what it looks like opening backwards?

The grille will mainly stay stock with an addition of some custom lighting. The height of the fenders won't be a problem since we had already planned on raising the wheel well openings to be able to steer at a real low ride height. The hood will flip forward and a smooth bumper snugged tight to the fenders to cap it all off.

Hay guys just wanted to get on here and get some feedback from everyone. Been putting lots of hrs in it and I feel I'm going in the right direction. But? Lol. U guys r a vital part of this websites success and the projects on it. I have been watching the builds on here for yrs. Sooooo please let me no what u think good bad or ugly! Lol

i like it all except for one thing.... the cab on the top of the windshield. To be smooth looks weird, the little "lip" rail makes it look so much better

Well even if I had kept the 67' cab they probably would have been removed since everything else has been shaved. but I understand what you're saying, they give it a certain look..thanks for some feedback.

I love the build, I would've never thought about even trying what you guys are doing, but I'm a little concerned about the front clip, fenders, grille. The hood will take some work but nothing that I'm a 100% positive that you can't handle. LOL Keep the pictures coming!!!

Well, you could stretch the fender to match the trucks height, then re-radius the fender just a bit to make it match, with the bonus of gaining wheel clearance. The grill would have to follow, all the way maintaining the original look of the truck only a wee bit larger. Quickly move on to the bed, and ta da! Your done, piece of cake. You should have no trouble getting it done by SEMA. Lol. It's lookin good, keep it up.

You are spot on, but what's going to make even a bit easier to accomplish is the flip forward hood and the no need for hinges on the fenders. The hood will run all the way to the windshield follow the contour of it covering the 01' cowl and wipers. It will be a mix of 01' & 67' on the fenders and yes metal will be added, parts stretched, sectioned and cross your fingers it all fits, lol. There's no manual on this, so it's a lot of trial and error. That's what we wanted, a one off truck that will have everyone scratching their head and hopefully liking it. Thanks guys!

Wish I had a pair of slosh tubs to cut up and use on this truck! Lol think they would work and add a crazy factory look!! I guess they might need a little modification! Lol
