Yep, head is up, and looking forward to moving on with my life.
It's moving along a little. I'll post an update over there, instead of continuing this thread. |

Re: Shoestring Budget 65/73 Chevy 2WD LWB
No it doesn't. It just happens to be the idea of the previous owner.

Sounds like because that "punks" mistake you got a good deal. I thought dui's were universal.

Re: Shoestring Budget 65/73 Chevy 2WD LWB
He did get a dui. I actually got the story slightly wrong. He did rear-end someone, and did get a DUI. But, he figured the truck was totaled, so he signed the title and just let it go. Then my dad's cousin bought the truck, I traded him a trailer, yada yada and well, 2 years later it's still my daily driver.

Re: Shoestring Budget 65/73 Chevy 2WD LWB
for anyone else reading this- this will save a ton of time on a bed teardown and recoat:
1. the wear strip bolts will just break off with a vice grips on the nut- you'll never save any of them anyways, and it doesn't bend the strips like you might think 2. get a basic old school sandblaster (bucket and nozzle that hooks to your air comp.(100 psi +) , you get a bag of washed "playsand" for from homedepot - instead of grinding and sanding all the rust |
