Re: 72 Suburban Build

I can so relate, we are in a "depressed" economy and yet you cannot purchase a product in a timely manner, nor get an honest/accurate time frame for delivery of goods PAID FOR in advance! Drives me crazy, I own my own business, and deal with this type of bs on a weekly basis....sure makes me appreciate the fine Customer Service that is out there.,...albeit to far and in between.
Vent on man, and you know the only way to impact business that do not follow through with their product or ship dates?!...cancel orders and do business elsewhere!
On a completely different rant....your 'Burb is gorgeous....exactly what I want to do suspension wise to mine!!

Re: 72 Suburban Build

The other thing that gets me is when they f-up and don't send me something that I paid for, they just ship it regular UPS ground. If I had a business, was way late on shipping something and left something out, you can bet your A$$ that I'd be sending that stuff next day air.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

have you started the under dash mount pedal kit yet? I am wondering how it fits and what fab is required to get it in there. I purchased the CPP chrome sealed unit.... have not installed it but would like to clean up the fire wall when I finally get in there. Are you going to install the remote resiv for the master cyl?

Seems like we all have had issues with several companies, from forgetting to ship out the orders, to sending them incomplete, or making you wait stupid amounts of time.. waiting for the brown truck to pull up.... waiting... waiting.... waiting..... oh wait is that him?...... nope its the next door neighbors viagra shipment... oh well Ill keep waiting.

Secure those panels with dzus fasteners.
Then carpet right over them.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

Well today was all about trying to make it a little cooler while working on the Burb. I bought a 36" 12,000cfm fan for the garage and moved the Burb into the garage. Its getting too hot to work on it outside in the sun. My Touareg has lost garage privileges for a few weeks.

Well its not just any Touareg. It has a twin Turbo V10 diesel with right at 670 ft-lbs of torque. Its a BEAST!! As for the Burb, wiring is the name of the game this week. Today was spent coming up with a plan.

If you're gonna get an import, get a diesel!!! I saw a Touareg towing a 26 foot enclosed car trailer up Ute Pass one day (VW race team going up to the Pikes Peak Race) It made me put my tail between my legs That's the one with no belts, right?

Re: 72 Suburban Build

The good-Jon has said he will refund my shipping and I received the part today.
The bad-You have to love the nice gouges in it and they still didn't send me everything! I ordered fittings with this and there are no fittings. I wish I could copy and paste my PM to show you all. Best of luck to anyone ordering from them.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

Wow, did not know a lot of posts were deleted, and I am all for talking about the amazing build going on here by bruin d.
I do not want to ruffle any feathers on the best automotive forum on the internet....but it concerns me that all discouraging comments (albeit I did not see them, and maybe it was warranted) posted were removed, hope it does not have anything to do with the Vendor being a site supporter...
