Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Loading it was fun
I'll show you pics of the new work area as soon as it's all set up. I did manage to get my whole project over there with all the parts but it took all day. I started to wonder how many trucks I was building once I saw all the parts I have collected. A few more than I realized.

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Glad to hear the move went OK. Its surprising how many parts come out of the woodwork when it's time to re-locate...

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Wow Jebb, she really sitting low, but I like it!! Maybe a set of air shocks well help for those step driveways once she on the road. I'm glade to see you got her on your trailer and everything move to your new place. Looks like the old flat bed came in handy too.

Very nice place you have there! Like the storage place for the "big-un". Looks like you have the garage space used well!!!

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Good looking house Jebb! And with that yard completely fenced in like that you don't have to worry about the neighbors complaining about all the trucks you drag home! I bet you could fit 10 or 20 back there with room to spare

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Nice garage, a side yard for the flatbed and a big back yard......but best of all, no grass to mow in the front!

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Thanks for the comments guys, we are really excited about it!
Doug, where did I post you butt? We are still moving stuff, we paid rent on the apartment until the end of November, we are not going to start sleeping over there every night until we move all the beds and things. That is another 2 weeks off or so. Brian and Drew, those are 2 of my wife's worst fears! The inlaws living here and more trucks now that I have room.

Oh that one! I was intending to show our inventive use of a floor jack!
Thanks for the help, I don't think I will need to bug you again until I move the Nova. That will be at least a few weeks off. Thanks again!

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Hey Man,
Congrats on the new home. I remember when I brought my house it was the worst (dealing with realestate agents.yuck) and best time of my life. Turned out to be the best thing I did because I could never buy a home in Los Angeles today. Its just too much.lol |

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Jebb, Congrats on the house. Looks like a nice place. Is that in Chandler? I go there a couple times a year to race at Firebird raceway. I always like going there because the humidity is almost none and the temp is pretty mild when we are there, usually in April and Nov. I think the Phoenix area would be a great place to live....I guess, other that the extreme heat for a couple of months...lol. Anyway good luck getting settled in and enjoy.

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
hope you dont mind me asking a few questions...i have a 59 chevy myself...
for your rear end setup - are you using the stock leaves? if so - did you take any leaves out? and for the front end - are they stock rated/height springs? trying to get an idea on how mine is going to sit - used stock rear leaves, but took out two leaves on each side, no lowering blocks, axle over leaf. front end is a 75 nova sub frame w/ z-28 springs - minus one coil. Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Kabwe, I know what you mean with the prices, things have gotten crazy out here too! Prices have more than doubled in just a few years. Right now it seems that the market is flooded and prices are pulling back just a bit. Now seems like as good a time as I have seen in a while out here.
Bernie, Yes sir that's Chandler. Let me know next time your out here, we will come out and route for you! Caino59 There are 2 leafs removed from my stock springs, the axle is flipped and there are 2 inch blocks. Up front are a pair of 2 inch drop springs (hotchkis) and of corse the Camaro sub frame dropped the front a lot by itself.

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Jebb, There is a race the weekend before thanksgiving, but I don't think we are going to make it. Looks like it won't be until April of next year...maybe. If we come I will let you know. Good luck with the house.

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
In that case that maybe I'll run the truck down the track a few times. That should be enough time for me to get my act together.
