Re: 59 Chevy Build
Not a whole lot to report.......got the hood on, got the headlight buckets installed, and finally got the radiator back from Griffin. If anyone is looking for a good radiator with great service and workmanship..........do not use Griffin. This is the second one that I had made by them and both times it took about 6 months and three send backs (with pictures) to get it close to right. I just got it back yesterday and what a piece of s**t it was. Had to spend about 2 hours just getting the brackets aligned enough to attempt to mount it. They really need to hire people that can at least read a picture!! Anyway it is in and it is the last from them.........................

Re: 59 Chevy Build
Orginally the plan was to use the 400 and install an internal overdrive kit. However, after doing a little more homework and price comparison, it has been determined that the best way to go is the 700r4. I went ahead and installed the 400 for now and made the cross member adjustable so when the time comes to switch it out it will be a easier task to do.

Re: 59 Chevy Build
That means a lot coming from a guy that seems to have perfected perfection. Your ride is a benchmark for a clean well built ride. BTW, I did save a few bucks and now have the paint to fix the fender...........

[QUOTE=She came back in crying saying she crashed my car. I had forgot it was in the driveway and not in the garage.

She and my son were fine, but the Tahoe's in the body shop. BTW, I can't wait to see both of these sweet trucks in a shot together! They look cool side by side in your garage.

Re: 59 Chevy Build
man I fee like I have been slacking so much lately..............anyway here are a few pics of the truck in it's current state..........I did install a Dakota Digital dash and I want to throw out my kudos to the guys at Dakota.....I didn't want the normal teal or blue that Dakota uses to light up their dashes......so I had them make me a dash that lights up red.........I only did this because Lokar decided that everyone in the street rod world wants red for their shifter indicator........anyway, here are a few pics from today................btw, I went to the NSRA show here in Tampa and got a killer deal on these head lights...............

Re: 59 Chevy Build
Such a great documented build on this truck. I haven't checked on it in over a month, so it looks like you're really making some progress. Makes me wish I had a shop for our 58 GMC project to get torn down in. I miss working on trucks

Re: 59 Chevy Build
You know............I am at the point where pics just wouldn't show the progress made. However I did install the seats, brake lines, emergency brake, new headers, and right now I am waiting for the glass man to get here to install the windshield. I appreciate the inquiry and I will post pics this weekend.........................
