Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
Nice work on building the bed from scratch! What did you use for tubing at the end of the rails? Did you build it out of 18ga sheetmetal? Thanks!

its all 16 gauge with I think schedule 40 pipe. I just capped the rails with sheetmetal and metal finished everything. |

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
I turned 20 april 1st actually, lol
but I started this truck when I was 17 and did the frame. Then basically spend my whole year of being 18 doing the rust repair/fab/body work then over the past year got it painted and been putting it all back together. Im super slow with being at school all the time and the lack of cash flow. |

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
ya i totally understand the money flow issue thats the reason my truck keeps getting put on the backburner i have had mine since i was 16 when i bought it, it was just a 3600 cab ,frontend ,and frame. i scraped out the frame and have started rust repair and custom fab on it (working on smoothing up the firewall) now and i recently aquired a 1950 3100 frame that has a camaro front clip graphed on... so im starting to work on the cab a little more now and cleaning up the motor and trans...

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
been working since last friday.
put the wipers in finally. bracket I made- tried to make a wire frame for a headliner...it worked but I decided it was going to be too much work to make it fit perfect so I scraped it. looks cool though... started and finsihed putting carpet in. dont have pics of the final outcome. headlight- |

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
how about some more pics of the wiper motor and the bracket. was it a kit or did you make something else work. any info/pics would be great.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
I bought a stock replacement electric motor from brothers and made my own bracket that bolts to the bracing I added under my dash that holds my pedals. Its a one off bracket that will only fit my truck. I can try and get more pics.
a problem i have is my wipers only cycle up to about a 45 degree anglefrom parked to max height, is this normal? Im about to redo some of the ratios to get more throw. |

How are you going to fasten the console and kick panels to the body?
