Re: Killer
Its just been chill'n in the shop while I look through all the junk I got for it with the new truck, progress is coming soon
The new truck is gonna be a drag truck, so no worries of it taking priority over Killer, I was just prepping it for storage & day dreaming on it LOW DOUGH, This is what he is referring to Linky Last edited by Spray-Bomb; 10-22-2008 at 06:20 PM. |

Re: Killer
Well guys, so far today I have practiced sectioning the inside of a fleetside bed side to raise the floor for my Z
I have a old rusty bedside that I could practice on & figure out the best way to do it, so later I will be starting on the bed that I am using on my truck... Wish me luck & strait cuts |

Re: Killer
Well do to life in general, I didnt get as far as I wanted today but I got a fair amount done
Im not going to post all the pics I took, as I plan to do a FAQ on bed floor raising I did a test panel first (only did half of it cuz I needed the other half for fixing my bed) The front is the section I raised & it is sitting on a board |

Re: Killer
Then I started on the repair of my drivers bed side
Parts panel, the section I need only needs a lower cup & has a small dent Old quarter New quarter Got the marks made for the sectioning to raise the floor Almost together |

Nice work bomb. I'm looking forward to seeing your thread on the mod and of course the final product, a finish, moving truck!

Re: Killer
The front is just modified lower A-arms & 2-1/2" drop spindles with bags
Rear I basically just made the lower part of the frame even with the top of the frame & gusseted it, that comes out to 6-3/16" Z |

Re: Killer
i already have 2" blocks i made up to help lower the rear. i know i can trim the inner to fit, just worried about the heaterbox that bolts on the outside of the firewall, i guess i could smooth the firewal and put a heater inside the cab from an older truck

Re: Killer
I decided to go with trailer fenders for inner fenders, so I still have some filling to to when I get the fenders |
