Re: Project Cod Fish
Rob, here is the roof. A little tweaking, but the fit is pretty good. I think I will post this over in the other area for others who have asked about roof skins to see.

Re: Project Cod Fish
Finished dash, and the drip rail detail where the new roof skin was a little short. I'll post some pics of the drip rails in a bit.

This is my favorite build. Except I don't know where it's headed, dropped, stock or whatever. Anyone know what colors it's getting ??

Re: Project Cod Fish
Hey guys the truck will have 2.5 drop spindles 1 inch springs in front, 4 inch springs in back. It will have the same stance as "project copperhead". I havent nailed down a color yet but it will be anything but stock. I had planned on a 6.0 ls motor, but I have a shot at a really good deal on a 572 gmpp, we will just have to see if it works out. I really want to make this a Retro Rod Truck. I want it to have most of the latest goodies, while retaining the look and feel of old school. I dont think you can improve the body lines of these trucks, as they are PERFECT. The rear end has a 3:42 posi in it. If this build has nothing else I know that it has the best metal work that can possible be done. Thanks Eb.

Re: Project Cod Fish
Thank you everyone for the compliments. The replacement roof skin was a good fit with the exception that it was a little short which left a wide area at the drip rail. The side view line was better than factory and the overall shape was good. To narrow up the drip rail I had to cut it off and grind down the the lip of the material where the metals came together, then weld the rail back on. Not hard and fairly straight forward. Here is a before and after shot of it.

Re: Project Cod Fish
idonutnO, hang tight for a bit. When I get this cab back to Rob I plan on going through all my photos and want to do an "anatomy of a cab" post that should be pretty cool. I'll show the cowl area as this is about the only area that I think could use some modification. This is why we went the way we did on this cab. Also it's what Rob wanted from the start. Seems we were thinking along the same line here

That is some excellent work ! I like the idea of the rear glass being recessed. Again, excellent work !
