That's looking pretty badass man. I'm glad it's turning out like you want so far.
How does the Blitz lay down? I'm sure we'll see that satin-ish sheen when you put some more pics up. But so far, I'm definitely diggin' it. -Sam.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
this is what it looked like right after i sprayed it
after some drying time. seemed to dry pretty quick so it layed on with some streaks or stripes and different shades of black. but over all it looks good! my good camera is dead, but pics still to come. hope to drive it around this month if we don't get snow soon. still alot of little things i have to get straightened out like bolt the grill on. and the bumper. bolt the Head ache in... figure out the lights Does anyone know why the dash lights would turn on wen you press the brake pedal? the brake lights still turn on though and why my reverse lights don't work? does anyone know where the reverse light switch is on a three on the tree?

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
hey man, it looks great. i got a question. does the blitz cover up imperfections in the body or does it make them more noticeable? from the pics your truck looks mostly pretty straight with the new paint. im just wonderin cuz im thinkin about doin this to my truck and wanna know if i could just spray it or if im gonna have to do some body work to get it to look good. thanks.

cover up imperfections, its gonna give you a flat look so it will make them less noticeable. i did some body work and sprayed 2 primers before spraying blitz. depends how beat up your body is. its a lot different then a gloss which is gonna pick up every single little problem spot/area. if you don't wanna spend a lot of time with body work and make it look decent spray blitz. my truck isn't perfect but i think its pretty good for my first shot at body work and paint....p

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
I found a 67 3/4 ton 4x4 in my area for cheap. The truck isn't in that great of shape besides the clip, and it comes with 2 more clean fenders 3 hoods a 71-72 grill and a gmc grill. and i may be picking it up to clip it and put the 67 clip on my truck. that trucks cab is junk and the small window is broken.
but i may have a 67 soon.. as for now i haven't done much on the old girl. been huntin. bed is soon to come.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
That is just a nice, clean looking truck.
You did a great job man, it's a head turner. And I really, really like the look of the Blitz. My cousin might be picking up a '72 C10, and I think I'm gonna convince him to go that route when the time comes. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for it. -Sam.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
So i havent been doing much on the truck. Drove her around a little in the snow. Also uploaded a video on youtube. Not the best but you can hear the old inline six purring.
Im debating painting my grill inserts black to give the truck a meaner look... got to go.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
It's been sitting in the gradge latley. And it's got a lot of dust on it from just before winter. But I can't really wash it till spring. Plus I'm not driving it on the salt roads very much. Not at all really.
I haven't washed the truck since I got it.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
hey man that looks cool as for rebuillding the 6 do it im rebuilding my 292 this winter hopefully.
i found some headers and perf intake at summitracing.com heres some part numbers headers flowtech 130$ BIG-11510FLT offy 4bbl intake 200?$ OFY-5416 carb holley 450cfm 4bbl 230$ HLY-0-9776 for cams go to cliffordperformance.net or call cam companys im going threw clifford for my cam they got headers and intakes but those are overpriced and ive been told offy/offenhauser intakes are better any ways keep below 500cfm max better yet if keeping stock cam use a 2bbl carb just get a 4bbl to 2bbl adapter plate it will keep fuel mileage and not over carb the motor and still yield u some hp. u can shave heads up to .060 max to gain some compression and those motors will take a .o60max overbore im gonna do a .040 to save room for future build. theirs valve work u can do too pm me if u want more info ive been researching the inline heavily to get ready for my rebuild, mines going to be making 290hp and 370lbs tq |

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Great Info> I most likely will have to pm to get more info.
Funny you brought that up because yesterday i was doing some burnouts in the snow with the old 250 and now i dont think shes running quite right. My plan is to pull her now and see what i can do. Clean her up a little and lay some paint possilbly. I dont think i have the money for a rebuild. But a 4bbl and some headers might do some good and go a long way. I'll keep the 250 though keep the truck orignal in that aspect. motor and trans. those inline guys get nuts though hah. sounds like your building a respectable 292! got a pic of it?

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Keep an eye on e-bay. You can usually snag headers and intakes fairly cheap, especially compared to summit or clifford.
As far as building a hot 6, pick up Leo Santucci's Inline Six Power Manual. I can't stress how great of a baseline book that is. and get onto www.inliners.org After that, there are a few articles that offer alot of insight from the '70's I beleive, plus a few more coming out soon. I have copies of them, so if you want I can copy them and send them to you, via e-mail or postage. After that, you'll be in over your head and wondering why you didn't just put a V8 in. Then you realize 6's are *****in', and dive in deeper. haha. I plan on building a 292 for my Chevy II. I'm looking at around 320 hp, with around 9.5:1 or 10:1 comp. ratio. 3x1 Offenhauser intake, headers, at least 1.94 and 1.6 valves, bolt in lump's to improve the short turn radius, a ton of porting, and a cam with around .525 of lift. Since I have almost everything...it should be reasonably priced in the end, and different. Also, with the letters on your grill, I did my emblems with little chisel tip paint pens. They did a pretty nice job all told, and held up well. It's something to look into - I just got 'em from wal-mart, so I'm sure you can find them there, or at fleet farm, maybe an art store? Also, in your photoshop thread, you mentioned something about drop spindles and drum brakes. I know you want to keep it original, but why not throw a '73 and up crossmember in for disc brakes? It'd change your lugs to 5 bolt, which could be an issue. Just throwin' it out there. annnddd...that's enough for now. -Sam.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Im going to have to look into the inline more on my own time.
im at school now. but thanks for all the info i think i have been to inliners site before.. ill have to see. they are *****in and not just a v8 as for the grill letters i found some stick em ones on the undernet for 5 bucks i think i may try them. hopefully i get them this week or next. The drop spindles. What im thinking is to get some spindles with the most drop i can. I think a 2.5" is as low as they go. And figure out a cheaper way to put discs on. like a nice pair from the junk yard up the road. lol. but a 73 and up crossmember may be somthing i want to do. does it just bolt right in? Will i have to get spindles for that to lower the front more? or springs. or will it give me some sort of drop just bolting it in? and changing to a five lug may be a good idea to because I cant seem to find any rims for this truck. My drums stop pretty well the p.o. put like 130 bucks into them i found some recites.I have hardly drove the truck around to wear them out. but disc's are somthing i will do evetually. do i need a booster then? white walls or black walls since you saw the photoshop post? lol.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Please read if you bagged a truck/car or have an idea of how to set up bags
Well i was thinking about what to do to the front end on my way home. So here is my idea. Bag the front and put each bag on a line that i can adjust from a compressor in my shop and if i want to lower it just do it at home... that way i don't have to have all that fancy stuff on the truck. Just till i can get bags all around a notch and a tank and a compressor. Has anyone done it this way before? just have a valve that you add air and take away air on. to save some $ just a cheap set up. what bags would be good to run? here is a daylight pic of the grill. and some my cousin wanted up my blazer flexing!! and my cousins jeep has a Amc inline 6 some pics of what the c10 may look like one day thanks to 19GMC63! Would you go with white walls or black on black? visit http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=377113 to see more variations. Rake on white walls. slammed on black rims black walls.
