Re: second chance 67 chevy, project from hell
After reading through your build thread I have come to some observations. 1) as different and unique as your vision is, its well thought out. 2) Your skills are something most men and women strive to obtain. And 3) Denists make way too much money lol. Although the truck isnt my taste at all, its something to marvel at. Congrats on what you have accomplished, definetely a head turner. Did you form the seat pans to your profile, they dont look like they would be too comfortable to sit in for more then 10 minutes, especially over bumps.

Re: second chance 67 chevy, project from hell
The seats have pads that my friend and I are making out of saddle leather. We bought two full hides and we built the pads and the dash pad. I will have to get you guys pics the dash pad was stamped with the name second chance and we stamped dice in the center and stiched it with wise thread. Really look cool. Seat were stamed too. Next we stained the leather and then stiched them. They came out great. I will have to get pictures on them. Glad you guys like the truck. More to come I am really getting alot done on my wifes 66 truck. It should be a head turner so I will get some pics up for you guys.

Re: second chance 67 chevy, project from hell
Everything looks great, an amazing build. Just wondering if you were going to keep the original style window and door crank handles or go with something else that matches the theme.
And I for one would love to hear what this monster sounds like. Time for a burnout video.

Re: second chance 67 chevy, project from hell
Thats a great question. I want to put aftermarket cranks but they dont want to fit the stock post. I had billet specialties cranks in it and they fit like crap. So I went with the stock ones.

I have an idea. How about aftermarket power windows and door latches? You can use some retro aviation style toggles to run 'em.

Re: second chance 67 chevy, project from hell
I dont want to put power windows in the truck because of the style of the truck. I just picked up some after market cranks and door handles so I will see if they will work. Plus if I put power windows in the truck I will have to have to make new door panels and that would suck. I will get you video after the show this weekend. I will have more pics for you guys of the interior when my friend and I are finished with it today. Thanks for all the support and take care. Eric

Re: second chance 67 chevy, project from hell
Awesome attention to detail. I usually dont like "theme" vehicles but man this one nailed it. Hope ya dont mind but im saving a few of these pics (ok most all of them) for backgrounds and such.
Again awesome |

Re: second chance 67 chevy, project from hell
Had a chance to look this truck over closely at the Grand National Roadster show in Pomona. Great job and very creative......
PS: I was especially checking out the inner fender work because I need something made for my truck. Superflysteiny, any comments you can share about those??? Thanks! |

Re: second chance 67 chevy, project from hell
If you want someone to make you inner fenders i know just the guys. Go to sacramento blue colar customs and ask for scott he owns it and he can make them for you. The guy is super resonable. I am glad you got to see the truck. I am going to have some more interior work done before sacramento autoramma and then I will go to the goodguys in pleasanton. Truck got alot of looks and will be coming out in a few mags. Got the cover of one of these mags so I am excited. Get you guys some pics from the show. Thanks Eric
