I finally got the wood finished and bed installed on the truck. I used a black varnish 3 coats and 3 coats of spar varnish on top of that.

Re: Good 70 SWB
Ok so I am working to finish up for a car show here in the south east on April 11. This past weekend I installed taikgate. I had purchased aftermarket gate and latch kit. However I could not get the latch to clear with out wanting to hit edge of gate. So i pulled the orginal latch off original gate and cleaned it up and painted. Worked great. Also installed rear bumper from NPD which fit good. And installed upper side trim purchased from classic industries.

Re: Good 70 SWB
Looking good. How about some pictures of the finished interior? I want to see how your dash, carpet and seats turned out.

What are you using for carpet? Is the upholstery shop doing that too, or something you're installing? Keep up the good work.

Re: Good 70 SWB
I used clips on most of the truck as I still had orginal holes where molding had been installed before. I did replace rear bed panel and opted to use tape for that one so I did not need to drill holes. I used 3m trim tape and seems to be holding well.

Re: Good 70 SWB
Truck looks great! I noticed you are using the cpp master cylinder rather than a booster setup..how does it stop? Rather, how much effort is needed compared to factory power?

Re: Good 70 SWB
Thanks for the comments HeavyD. I am using Wilwood master cylinder with 1/4 bore. I have 4 wheel disk breaks and a portioning valve. With this setup I have nice easy pedal and it stops good. I know a couple people running this setup and all like it.

Re: Good 70 SWB
Took an opportunity the other day and had a buddy help me powder coat the rims. I had a local shop sand blast them for me first. Below are some pictures.

Re: Good 70 SWB
Your truck turned out awesome What color was the original paint color code for the green? I'm debating colors and I'm leaning toward the original green.

Re: Good 70 SWB
Yes I had a buddy that had an old electric Kitchen oven and powder coat gun. I had the wheels broke down and took them over and did them at his place. Nothing fancy but they came out looking pretty good. We ended up putting a couple coats on baking after each coat. Great to learn new skills.

Re: Good 70 SWB
Thanks I am not sure the ordinal color code. It would be the light green from a 70 Chevy c10.
