Feels like real progress when the cab goes on.

I'll second that, even if my cab needs to come back off when spring gets here so I can finish painting my frame, lol.

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion
There is a custom shop here in town that specializes in Corvettes. In speaking with one of their guys about sound deadening, he told me every vehicle they do, gets a coat of bed liner on the underside, and then heat reflective dynamat used in the inside. According to his claims, even older vehicles sound as quiet as brand new cars.
I'm hoping that combining bed liner under my cab and inside my fenders, along with the dynamat material and using modern isolators to mount my cab will result in a quiet passenger compartment. -Joe

I am all about overkill, I have no where near the experience as some around here but I really hate rework... so maybe a little over kill is ok :}

Same goes for my build. I want it solid, and I want it quiet. I've driven it on the OE chassis and it was like being in a 55 gallon drum being rolled down a rocky trail. I can do without that. I want to be able to enjoy my build. -Joe

Trying to get a little done at a time.... The motor is at the machine shop, what to have everything ready to go to drop it in when she's done...

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion
This was my 57 pushtruck, from back in the day. This was at Ascot Raceway before it closed. Check out our cool pushtruck tear offs !!!!
The neat thing about this gig, was that I was so broke I couldnt pay attention, but we would pack food and get into the races for free (to push race cars) and then get the best seat in the house in the middle of the infield, great times.

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion
I can't see the picture too well but in pic one it looks like you might have the primary shoe on the back side. The short brake shoe goes to the front. The truck is looking good.

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion
Still waiting on the motor to get done and then things should really start to "pickup" big time. In the mean time, lots of little details to do. Got my deluxe heater mounted up and doing a complete windwing rebuild right now.

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion
Just a shout out to Omar Lugo at Lugo Parts. My deluxe heater is worthless without this simple little piece. Omar hooked me up and didn't gouge me either.
Thanks Omar

Re: 3200 Napco 1/2 ton Conversion
So it was time to start assembling the motor and having never done one before by myself I enlisted the help of my hot rod buddy Doug to assist me with the technical stuff. Doug has done a ton of these and knows all the "little" tricks.
She's just gonna be a surfboard hauler so nothing crazy. Slight overbore, clean up of the good parts, an RV cam and an olskool manifold.

Looking really nice. Once the engine is together you can get rocking and rolling on it!
