It hasn't really made any difference on my truck. Since the inner fenders above the tires remain in place, the tire spray is pretty much contained in alignment with the tires. The area in front of the doors gets the majority of splatter, although some hits the upper inner fender and behind the headlights. There's really very little difference compared to when the full panels were in place and mine gets driven in both rain and snow, although I don't make a habit of driving through deep puddles.

One cycle at the coin operated car wash makes it all look like new again.

Cool, Thanks for the info. Mine are butchered and look really bad. They are chopped out to fit the radiator and a battery box on the fender that looks like crap. Then, i think i will get some inspiration to make it "mine" with some custom work. Thanks again. JOEY, GET THE TORCH, WE GOT WORK TO DO!!!!

i love the pipes under the hood...are they block huggers? my headers hang down too far and the exhaust is visible from the profile. i want something like what you have to tuck em up in there a little tighter.

that's sweet! ala old L72 big block (can't touch one of those air cleaners for under a grand) or old eary 70's Z28. Very nice. I've been eyeballing the dual snorkel air cleaners at swap meets as well, can't seem to find much lately though. Your engine looks great - very clean, simple and functional. Jocko likey.

GH78.... close. I really wanted the double snorkel.... I like the looks of it. Found it at the Good Guys swap meet a couple of weeks ago. A bit different!

Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays

Here is mine... Junkyard 350 with all used Craigslist finds bolted together to make it go. Just as with all other projects, I have a "Plan B" (hanging from the brake booster). Plans to clean it up and replace old parts with new as it needs repairs. Someday, it should be real nice, but for now, i just drive it like a rental!!
