well , i just copied from the others . there's lots of pics from other members that have done this . some of the holes you may or may not want to keep . like the hole for your washer squirter hoses or oil pressure line , wiring ,a/c heater . etc... porter built fab. sells some sheet metal for deleting the a/c holes. i made my patterns using poster board and tracing them on to sheet metal. if you do a search on firewall smoothing on here you will get lots of pics and ideals. thanks for checking it out..jw

Re: hotrod-c10

well , thought id bolt up front fenders , been about 5 years since it had any on it , still need lot more work , just goofing around since thats all i can afford $ to do for now, my friends say i should just get it together just the way it is and have fun with it . id like to but i know it would never get close to finished if i did . but at this rate it might not anyway

Re: hotrod-c10

You know I really can't say on the hood, I used to prefer the cowl hood but things seem to be turning away back to more original flat hood these days, suck clean lines with the factory hood.

I prefer the stock hood myself but if I had both, I would probably paint both and switch them back and forth , just for fun !

Re: hotrod-c10

This is a cool build. There may be something to your friend's advice - get it together and have fun with it. Let this be the first iteration of the truck. I like the cowl hood since you have a pro-street theme, but you can't go wrong with the stocker either. Great job so far! Very cool truck.
