Re: Project: 72C10 "Clear Blue Sky"
Spent about 4 hours sand blasting the rest of the grill, and then sanding it down with 320, then using steel wool. Does not look too bad, its way better than the way it looked, hope to get it installed in the next few days. Will get some pics tomorrow. Also picked up (1) 15x7 rally and 4 trim rings, just need one more "7" and I will bet set for the front.

Re: Project: 72C10 "Clear Blue Sky"
mrdana60 is sending me another 8" rim, so Im good there. I have another 7" rim I am going to look at in Ennis, Tx. If that falls though, teeitup has one.
This grill is not too bad, I hammer and dolly most of the dents out, then sanded them down with 80, and went over the entire thing with 320 & 000 steel wool. Thanks bro. Quote:

Re: Project: 72C10 "Clear Blue Sky"
Lookin good ! once you have it like you want it, I would spray some clear on it. without the anodized finish I bet it will start to tarnish quickly without some protection. also I've polished some aluminum parts with rubbing compound and a buffer, and they turned out real nice. just thought I'd mention it because thats alot of surface area to do by hand.

Re: Project: 72C10 "Clear Blue Sky"
Spent a few hours yesterday trying to make
a fan shroud. Turned out pretty nice, I picked up 2 fans at the salvage yard, for cheap. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device
