Re: geezers unite
Thanks guys for your kind words
Thought you guys would enjoy this: Yesterday my daughter again asked why I didn't do something useful with my time.... Talking about my "doing something useful" seemed to be her favorite topic of conversation. She was "only thinking of me" and suggested I go down to the senior centre and hang out with the guys. I did this and when I got home last night I decided to teach her a lesson about staying out of my business. I told her that I had joined a parachute club. She said, "Are you nuts? You 're almost 72 years old and you're going to start jumping out of airplanes?" I proudly showed her that I even got a membership card. She said to me, "Good grief, where are your glasses! This is a membership to a Prostitute Club, not a Parachute Club." "I'm in trouble again, and I don't know what to do... I signed up for five jumps a week" I told her. She fainted. Life as a senior citizen is not getting any easier but sometimes it can be fun

Re: geezers unite
Well, my clock rolled over 73 in late March.
We rebuilt an old house and moved in in '87. Have hardly touched it since, so is needing a few repairs, and face lift. Started out the other day putting new vinyl fake wood flooring in both baths, kit, and utility. It's embarassing when a neighbor comes in and sees a ladder in the house while laying flooring. Sure is handy to climb up from you knees. Eat aspirin like peanuts, but us 'ol Geezers never quit learning to improvise for the need and occasion, do we??? Wife and I were laughing while looking for the flooring she wanted. She settled with some that had a 25 yr warranty. She laughed and asked if I thought if 25yrs was enough? I figured if it didn't we wouldn't give a hoot, anyway.

Re: geezers unite
Soon to be 61 and still chucking trucks down the road. I have a project in the garage that is just sitting there waiting for that time that I have no other thing to do, but have plenty of drivers to use at this time.

Just turned 52 last month. If I had of known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.

Funny how that works. Looking from the inside out, nothing has changed. I just wonder who that old codger in the mirror is........
