Re: The 1960 - 1966 Member Introductions
well,my name is ron and yes ive had this affliction for a long time as many of you have.ive liked this style of any other out there.ive had a 63 gmc short fleet , a 62 long step, a 66 short fleet in my avitar ,and yes today i became the owner of this gem ,66 long fleet 6cy 3 spd. a freind saw it at their yard sale and after some [not sure we want to sell]i put a reminder note on there door i got the call.2500.00 and no less. i bought it over the phone. its a little crusty around the edges ,but the good thing it spent most of its life in s.carolina ,brought up here in 2003 and not drivin in the winter, against it ,it was covered with a leaky tarp.its alot better start than my 62 which needed alotof rust work ,which im sick of .ive been lurking for a while now ,the tec info and company here is outstanding and im glad to be here . ron

Hi All, been lurking for long enough I figure I'd introduce myself. I'm Drew, proud owner of a 1965 bucket'o'rust C20 that is currently being stripped down to the frame (much to my wife's chagrin).

Re: The 1960 - 1966 Member Introductions
I'm Jake. I'm a pilot and have very little experience working on cars/trucks. I just bought a 64 shortbed step side. Still not sure exactly why except that I think it's the coolest truck ever. Which, I suppose, is more than enough reason. My new to me truck is still in CA and I live in Ohio. My parents went and picked it up after I found it on Ebay and I'm working on getting it shipped to me. Loving all the resources on this forum and really looking forward to enjoying my new truck.

She's a 1965, LWB, 4-speed manual, V6, with 8-lug wheels. I'm the the 4th owner of this AZ truck, and she just touched 100K original miles. She's got a recent paint-job that will need top be re-done at some point, but it'll do for now. I'm excited for the tips and ideas that I see on here to make the most of this classic! I tried to post a few pics, but they came pack as missing a "security token"...what do I need to change? Let's get this party started! Kimball in AZ |

Re: The 1960 - 1966 Member Introductions
Hello all, My name is Daniel (Dano), I'm new to this site and new to the whole restoration process. I have always wanted to restore an old truck one day and finally found the time and money to start a project. I just bought a 62 Chevy LWB stepside 235 i6 for a 1,000 dollars. I'm not sure what all I want to do to it yet but i'm getting a lot of great ideas from this site. I look forward to posting my progress and asking questions along the way. I am calling my new project "My Maria" after my wife. I hope to meet a lot great people on here and maybe finding new friends with the same desire for these old trucks. I attached the very first pictures of my maria before anything is done to it. I will upload more pics when I can. Thanks for accepting me to your wonderful forum.

My name is Stephen, and I have owned Rita May for going on three years now. Bought her before I could drive, and since then, I have put every check from work into her. So far she is looking better and better. Two years ago[IMG][/IMG] and now [IMG][/IMG]
