If he is in a crappy situation he just made it worse by continuing to take people's money. I really wasn't bad talking...perhaps I said some things that I was thinking. The "professional" aspect was never a factor. By the way what does "twos" mean?Is it a word that is highly used in in the professional world? Duane has not held up his end of the deal with people here. No phone calls, emails, pms or tracking numbers. No contact what so ever. He has had numerous times to redeem his name. Personally I wish it had not played out like this. Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by kingsolver72; 09-13-2012 at 06:17 PM. |

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
I am not condoning what has played out, or know what this "twos" thing is that he spoke of. I too wish it has not played out like this as I still do not have the money in my hands and sounds like others have lost out as well, however bickering online or making threats on either parties side does not aide in the situation and simply makes things worse, yes duane has catching up to do and needs to follow through with his word ASAP! We know this and this thread also might open up light to the situation to him that if he doesnt follow through with what he has agreed to legally and verbally very very soon, regardless of personal situation, may end him up in a whole other heap of financial legal trouble, and or land him in jail. Also anything posted on here by any party could also be used in the court of law as evidence.

It's just a hunch but, I don't think most folks will be getting parts or a refund.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
Oh believe me Tim he does not. Ya'll only see the part that is on the thread. My PMs with him that night were quite clear. He was suspended for 24 hours shortly after, and has not manned up enough to post since. I know he is reading this, and instead of saying sorry, or how he messed up etc, would rather hide and talk junk.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
well Collections agency finally called me back, I HATE talking to them. Now they are trying to say I said I would settle, WOW they try to switch things around on you. Anybody who works for a collection agency, IMO don't have much for morals

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
Hey Randy, keep us up to speed on things please.
I know that I am cynical but, I hope this guy didn't set up a fictitious username/account prior to all this, where he would be able to continue his scam. I am definitely even more skeptical of any dealing with new folk or those I don't know. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
If their trying to settle it means they know they are not going to collect anytime soon. Once you send the letter disputing the claim they have to take it off the credit report. Phone calls don't count it needs to be a letter return receipt.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
OK, for the effected parties, who would it be the best to contact in this situation, ..... Indiana state police, the Vevay IN police dept, the sheriff dept in Switzerland county, our individual local sheriff departments, our state attorney general office as Randy has done?
anyone had any experience with this stuff or have knowledge to share? |

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
Since having the ups guy show up in the morning with a care package from HMC is not very likely, maybe we should get together a list of members that is owed money and the amount that is owed, and possibly link the thread where the transaction took place so all that info will be easily accessed, all in one place and be public knowledge so we know the scope of what we or the authorities are dealing with?? thoughts anyone?
maybe one of the admins already have that info together already? |

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
Sounds a lot like dealings I have had on eBay (+5000 purchases). One seller had his bank account raided by PayPal. So he retaliated by stretching out to the very end of the complaint filing period, said it was in the mail, then a week later apparently told everyone pound sand nothing is coming.
Have you collectively tried matching up payment paths? A credit card company or PayPal might be more inclined to do something if a number of people are complaining about the same person.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy
Well, I guess I will have to get on the wagon, I too was never shipped the correct parts from Duane, he kept saying he had problems with his equipment, something broken or lost in shipping, finally he sent me a bunch of rusty parts that I couldn't even use and then kept saying he would make it right, but never did, I wrote it off and almost stopped buying parts on the forum, but I just had to let it go, there is so many great people here. I would gladly get in line to go after this guy he owes me $125.00 in parts that I had to have reblasted and treated.
