Re: pics of lowered trucks with stock steel wheels and caps.

Is there a good place to buy new steel wheels that will accept the dog dish or moon style cap and fit over disc brakes?

What brand and size of tire are you running? It looks good.

Bull! looks good the way it is, I think if you put old school (whitewall) mud tires on back you would nail that vintage look, but that's me.

If you are going to lower it, I feel you will have to go with fatter tires like Heavymtl has, some high quality pics of his here:

(hope he doesn't mind me posting)

Do you think the 255 would clear the front?

I really don't know, I wouldn't like the looks personally. I always liked the narrower tires up front. plus it would be harder yet to steer with the wider tires, no power steering, and a heavy motor.

Old picture, slight dropped with Chrome 15 X 8 Rallys with dog dish hubcaps. Not on my truck anymore, long gone tires were 275-60-15 BFGs

fronts are 235/75 15's on factory "4 nub" disk 15 x 6.5 steels , on a disk brake drop spindle (moves the front out a bit). The rears are 265/75/15's on factory 15x8 steelies , narrow rear with a 1/4" spacer. Almost identical to my 68 , but it doesn't fit this thread. ( its got ralley's!)
