You could always do it like N2billet does on his original paint trucks and just have a dummy fill neck on the cab so it looks original but there is actually no tank in the cab

They were both pretty rough. Got decent money for what they were. I actually only have 1300 into a complete bed minus gate and all the wood. The shop I deal with doesn't charge freight as long as you wait till they have a full order. Haven't heard anything bad on repop bedsides so I figured it was my best bet. Everything else is original gm sheetmetal and all repairable.

Dreamers rods and pickups in Everett. If freight is charged it's split between everyone that has an order

LOL! Yeah custom fabricated parts are expensive.
I wont buy that stuff, I would rather take the time to fabricate it myself.

Those tires look familiar I have the same ones in my house right now. Everything is looking great and your right the Porterbuilt stuff is expensive but the quality is top notch.

Re: 67c10 build

nice shoes. They will last a long time and the parts look great. I wish I was as far along on my build as you. and I can remember when I started and said the same thing about other builds. My cab is almost finshed with the body work.

Thank you, my cab will be a big hurdle. It needs a lot of work.

Re: 67c10 build

I'm with you on the filler neck. I totally get the benifits of relocating the tank, but I just really like the stock look AND really don't like the look of all the different ways people install a rear filler. Don't want one on the bed floor or in the bed side.

What are your plans for the motor? Alreay have a trans or plans for that?

I'm gonna run an in cab tank, don't mind it at all. I'm really having a hard time doing anything real crazy to this truck. I wanna be driving this when I'm 90 and it still be cool. Just don't wanna build something that's cool in the moment. Original is always cool and will bring in the money if I ever part with it. I'm gonna just do a mild rebuild on the 402, nothing crazy, again maybe sticking along stock lines but of course a set of headers. I have the turbo 400 I took out of the parts truck I will rebuild and run that

Finally some updates, cut my 67 frame to match the 71 parts truck frame for header clearance. Unfortunately I never thought of this before powdercoat. A little tape and a jigsaw and it cut it no problem, file and some touch up and can't even tell.

Scored on a real nice tach dash, typical faded temp gauge but just bought a NOS one on eBay.

Looks bad ass! Getting my wheels and tires bolted on was a big deal too. Really lit a fire under my azz. Nice score on the tach cluster!!
