Oh yes my friend! Just got the hardline yesterday. Actually there are several pieces of rubber hose even back from the tank to the fuel pump there are three! Very high on the priority list.

Nice of you to say that, thank you. My outlook, my world view is based on Christ as you may have notced, and I know that all things work together for the good for those who love Him.

So, it is good! Good that I Skype with my boys a lot. They get to work, learn, and create. Actually we're having a ball, so it is a good thing this was so messed up... wouldn't have done this otherwise.

and yes, a moment for our beloved TH...........

I saved it once from becoming a clutch linkage but it was time to fire the engine and the old linkage was holding the throttle open.

Had to hear it run!

Re: Devastation and Reform - abused, beaten, and botched yet unrefined 67 SWB

Too much madness and chaos going on right now with the impending move and me getting my ducks in a row so I maximize my time on leave.

But, between taking care of packing and doing all kinds of stuff for Mom, there were some moments for the lads to work on the truck.

Repairing the a/c shipping damage is high on the list. Getting a deal on a used system isn't such a great deal when it was carelessly packed. ugh!

That is a really bad packing job to say the least, but it just goes to show, you can't fix stupid.

No you can't. Only thing to do is try to recover from the wake of disaster

more good forward motion with the e-fan shroud until it was discovered that dad (yes, dad) screwed up the rad when he put the fan directly on the radiator... sheesh! just can't count on anyone so guess what?

Re: Devastation and Reform - abused, beaten, and botched yet unrefined 67 SWB

It's a Summit radiator, 31" wide so we will need to do some adjusting but it is much, much thicker than the 3 core we had. Good price too

Nice radiator.
I would strongly recommend that you replace that see through fuel filter with a metal one because those are known to leak and start fires, and while you are at it build yourself a light bracket to mount it, or better yet get a metal filter and move it down to the frame or to the inner fender with a bracket, but no matter what you do get rid of that see through filter, just the off chance of a fire isn't worth the risk.

Amen!

Already have that in motion. The filter is absolutely heading out the door!

The hose you see is synthetic rubber so it won't break down with the fuels today but you are perfectly correct and it is all going hardline and AN braided ASAP regardless.

Keep telling people when you see something like this. It isn't the same as it was years ago when we could get away with it. Alchohol in the fuel and who knows - cheaper plastic used in these filters? Global warming? Fault of Congress?

I was for the rest of the day! Just a couple very minor issues on the shakedown run.

Now working on the gauge panel, some misc. wiring, fuel line, and getting the a/c installed.

All this while packing and I'm getting ready to get traveling home... just can't wait!

Just read your build and I'm about to do the same TH-350 to Muncie swap. Surely got some good info from here and keep up the good work.

Yeah I am back, thanks.

Had a couple of delays in moving but that should start today.

Got to drive the truck last night after making a few checks and changes, drove out good!

More to come when I get caught up
