Just read your whole build. Really Really cool you did a great job. Your right the 350/350 combo is just to common for such a uncommon truck. Glad it all slid together easily. I hear ya on going together smoothly. Having a plan ahead of time lets you know what you gotta do and you can get it done. This was my first total build and while its descent its not perfect, but its mine! Once this snow goes away Ill be back to it fixing and finishing stuff.

Hey DieselRat, I finally started on my 46 Chevy. Pulled out the MB engine and started to modify the 79 Malibu front frame clip for the engine to fit. I will start a build thread on the pre47 projects and builds soon. Are you going to Spring Carlisle or the Jalopy showdown at Latimore Fairgrounds?

Nice! Lemme know if ya need any help on things. I may go to carlisle but I doubt Ill bring my truck in. Im not one for entering my truck and having to stick around all day I like smaller shows better for that. Contemplating hitting up the Hooligans meet in harrisburg next month though.

Is the Hooligans meet the one at the old sled factory building? I have heard of it. but I haven't been there. What kind of cars are at that show?

Yep thats the one. Quite honestly I found them on FB last year and didnt make it to their last show. Looks cool, looks like more home brew low rider old school stuff.

Sorry man missed your post. I actually sold the truck! While I sorta miss it, I really dont surprisingly. It was tough to let it go but at the end of the day it just sat around because I never get out of the house with either 1 kid, or my wife (haha never solo anymore) so to drive it on my own was fun, but its more fun to roll with someone. So long story short I sold it, and bought a 72 duster 340. And I'm just about wrapping up a crew cab cummins build (in my sig) I've been busy with that for the past 6+ months and its finally coming full circle.
