Thanks. Ya I was hoping for 17's also just no selection of decent wheels wide enough to safely run a big tire...

My 84 I built. 52,000 orig miles. Started life as a 2wd dually.
Still got a lot of work left to do on it but it's on the road and I love it! I've been a fan of this thread for a long time But never posted a pic yet... Awesome looking trucks on here! |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Crew Cabs Part II
Thank you!!
Some specs: 84 chevy with modified 12v cummins, NV4500, 205 t-case. Rear axle from '04 HD for disc brakes. 6" lift with longer shackles and DIY flip out back. Bilstein 5100 shocks. 20" KMC wrapped with 37x13.5 Toyo MTs. Leather bucket seats from '03 bonneville. Like I said, it's still a work in progress... I need to do some body work on the box and paint it. There is a long list of things to do yet. Oh yes, if you didn't notice, it could use some air bags. 1,200 lbs of tongue weight from that camper. Ordering cross-over steering to help get a sharper turning radius and reduce bump steer. Last edited by up k5er; 03-19-2015 at 10:52 PM. |

Are those mirrors adjustable to the outside? I have never seen the towing mirrors on the "dumbo" style bases.

kevinr1970... yeah not a bad buy I talked him down $600. As far as I could tell the mirror dont move. Iv'e never seen mirrors like them either. On the drive home I was looking at them and seen that there is a small clean weld by the mirror housing.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Crew Cabs Part II
I'm currently just beginning a body swap between this 88 2wd Crew Chevy and 88 4wd Crew GMC. I was going to convert the 2wd to 4wd and build a 12 valve I had in the garage for it. Then a friend saw my plans on FB and said it would be a pain to swap my 2wd to 4wd why not just buy his project he had lost interest in.
