Re: Project "Haulin' "

Is it even possible to machine the stock heads to perform at the same level as the aluminum heads?

That really isn't as important to me as it is staying period correct to the early-mid 60's hot rod....

Well when you have the best do your engine there is alot of labor... but it is getting all new Pistons, rods Bored, complete head rebuild (they wanted me to go with Aluminum but I want original), this also includes the New High FLow water pump, starter and a bunch of other stuff...

The thing is... Alan Patterson truly is the best in the USA for building SBC engines and for me I want bullet proof... This also includes pulling it and adjusting it on the Dyno...
Nice! And knowing what I have in my GM305HO heads for my 307 alone, I can see how all that adds up. Nice to know the pull/replace and tune are included. I hear it can be up to $1k just for dyno tuning.

I dig your plan.

Thanks Man... It isn't a problem keeping it... Selling it would allow me to keep paying cash without pulling from saving to build the house... we do not want a mortgage... If it sells then great... if it doesn't then great...

We are building here in Winfield

I wish you guys were bringing the 57 down this weekend for "The Last Rod Run"... They have over 1200 vehicles registered...

Thanks, Dan. Wish we were coming too, but the '57 is still up on jack stands (long story!). Sounds like a way fun weekend, though.

Re: Project "Haulin' "

Haulin made her First car show over the weekend... I went Saturday To "The Last Rod Run" in Arkansas City, Kansas with Rick and Kathy Cain out of the local Wichita C-10 club We had a great time.... Rick and Kathy Left about 1:00 to go to a show in Wichita... I should have followed them because that show was a PARTY... LOL

Anyway I had a great time... They show had a final registration of 952 cars/trucks... and there were alot of 67-72 Trucks there I would guess between 60-70 of them...
