Re: Putting Camaro front in 55 second gen
That all looks real good.
I hope to be there soon but still need to get second coat of frame paint completed. Must be exciting to actually be building! |

It runs! All plumbed up, even the steering. Spun it a couple times to build up oil pressure, primed the fuel pump 5 or 6 times, hit the ignition and fired instantly! No leaks anywhere, no hiccups! On to permanent wiring and the body! |

Re: Putting Camaro front in 55 second gen
Before I weld the top of the bed sides shut, I decided to put some removable eyes for tie downs. I probably wont use them much so I made it so I can just leave them out....I put 2 in each corner, 8 total.
Also got the front panel and rear cross sill temporary bolted on, bedsides squared up. |

Re: Putting Camaro front in 55 second gen
Just went through your build thread.... nice work !!!!
I was very interested in your radiator core and bumper supports, that's where I'm at trying to get all the sheetmetal to line up. In the process of getting the bottom grill support to fit, I will have to notch front frame rail and lower bumper brackets to accomplish. Cutting the lower grill support would not be low enough on mine. Keep up the great build. JT from SC |

Re: Putting Camaro front in 55 second gen
I did! Fiber optic cable spool (free). Im going to put it on rollers tomorrow, so it spins in place...
I cut the top off, to 7 ft so I can get it out the garage door if needed. The top will bolt in place so it can spin 360 |

I used a cooler off ebay with 6 an stubs already on it. I used 6 an russell braided lines and fittings. I will be mounted in the frame rail with a small fan on it. I will get pics as soon as I mount it. All cut up and headed to be blasted! |

Re: Putting Camaro front in 55 second gen
Blasted! I spent a lot of time getting under the dash, inside hinge posts and cowl...The only big suprise was the rt front floor (last pic). Not a huge deal though...

Taking a break from hard work! Made some wheels for the rotisserie... Finished off a bed corner and where the fuel filler was...
