Re: Project blue affair
So for some big news. The owner just bought a 2006 GTO. LS2 6 speed car. Should make for a sweet motor/tranny setup for the truck!

Re: Project blue affair
Not much of an update but I got the GTO to my house. Runs hard! Also made a little progress on the bed sub floor structure. Im trying to get the bed bolted on so I can take the truck to my dads house so I have some room to pull the motor/tranny out of the GTO.

Re: Project blue affair
Today while the kiddo was napping I made a little bit of progress and got the front and back mounting tabs welded on. It seems like most builds weld the subfloor to the side of the beds so you cant take it apart, I wanted to make sure that this could all be removed easly. There will be some bracing that will be in front and back of the wheels once I get the bed set at the correct height and the body lines matched up. The rear tabs will get bent around the stake pocket also. just waiting on the final alignment. (soon) Once the bed is mounted I will take the c10 to my dads house so I can pull the gto in the garage and pull the motor tranny.

Re: Project blue affair
Love keeping up with this build. And those wheels look amazing on this truck. Did I understand this correctly, you are stripping the drivetrain from that GTO for the truck? It will be a nice setup for the truck, but what is to come of what appears to be a very clean GTO?

2. Is we take the motor and tranny and put them in the truck and then just try and sell the rest of the car. The car is far from perfect. It has a crash on the record. hard to see in the pics but the car behind the doors is a little darker silver. Clean title. It sure is fun to drive tho! Hope that answers your question |

Not a huge update but I got the steering connected today. Pretty cool to turn the wheels with the steering wheel!
