Re: Blueballz build thread
Well sand blasted the underside of my hood. Started painting it. Got a nice heavy coat on and the Benicia wind kicked up and blew the sand all over my wet paint... so instead of fighting it and being pissed I went for a ride to chill out. At least she looks good without the hood.

Re: Blueballz build thread
Spent Friday and Saturday peeping and painting the roof. Nothing fancy just white rustoleum. Love how these trucks looks with white roofs. Sunday spent time replacing all the window felts and door weather stripping. It’ll be nice to drive and not hear everything rattling. First car show for Blue Belle is October 12th at the Swanx Fall Fiasco. Can’t wait.

Re: Blueballz build thread
Crappy deal about your paint, but at least you got to drive it to your show.

Re: Blueballz build thread
Yeah no worries, I’ve since sanded it all out and repainted underside of hood INDOORS this time. Turned out decent for a under hood paint job.

Re: Blueballz build thread
Hit up the good guys show in Pleasanton and picked up a exterior sun visor for a good price. Minor fitting but not too bad. The spot welds in the center where the brace attaches will need some filler. Still haven’t found a shop that can put in my windshield. I guess all the auto glass companies around here just go for the newer easy windshield replacements and stay away from the classics. If anyone’s in the bay area and knows a shop that does classic vehicle glass please let me know.

Re: Blueballz build thread
Finally found someone to put in my windshield. Andy’s custom auto glass does a lot of classics. He can also do custom cuts and shaving for chopped roofs. So got the front and back glass in, got the visor on. Now tonight took a polish wheel to all the stainless molding. Nice and shiny but now you can really see all the dings in the stainless. Not sure if it’s better to be cloudy and dull or shiny and see all the dings. Oh well, work in progress right. Also switched out the baby moons for some Shannon cones.

Re: Blueballz build thread
Your upgrades/changes look great. Dings in the trim are OK, they add character and go with the rest of the truck...
