Re: Patina love

Nice work. I wish I’d run my computer under the seat like this.

Thanks appreciate the compliments. So far all my wiring is hidden. I will be routing all the front clip wires over fenderwell under fender too

That’s how i did it - turned out clean.

I ran all engine-side wires to the passengers rear of the intake, and drilled a 2.5” hole in the firewall to run everything through a large grommet just behind the passengers head, it’s nicely tucked and hidden but requires running each sensors wires basically individually, back to the ECM.

I was gonna go right through the firewall behind intake before i came across this bulkhead fitting. Its pretty large and takes a latge flat spot to secure. Thats when i decided to go under seat. Had my fingers crossed all the wiring was long enough

Re: Patina love

Got the LS primed with a weed sprayer today. It displayed 12psi on the holley monitor. Haha. Started building hoses for hydroboost and decided to get the whole front clip painted up and reinstalled. Getting lots closer today was a good day. Hopefully ill be able to fire it by sunday for a short period. But i am waiting for driveline to get finished. Hopefully by friday.

Re: Patina love

Plucking along day after day. Today i went to oriellys and bought a batch of radiator hoses, 3 different times ha. And i found exact fits in gates. 23184 for the upper and gates 21668 for lower. I am running a factory style 68c10 radiator and the engine is gen iv family truck. I got tired of looking through mutiple post here and all over the net with mixedreviews and gobble degoo.

Educate me here....what has coolant got to do with what I'm assuming, is the transmission tail shaft?

Well it was two different sentences with a period separating them. Thought you might have figured out that im down to the end of the tunnel to make this thing run and drive. I topped off coolant. Got it to fire for 2 seconds and it puked out trans fluid due to not having the driveline in

Re: Patina love

Got driveline today and got it installed. Did some minor wiring and finished my AN06 trans cooler lines. Added some pipe off the collectors and fired it off. Got another gallon ATF in and some power steering fluid. Ready for some online tuning by friday

Awesome update! There's nothing like that first drive after the build phase.

Re: Patina love

So i decided it was time to get a steering column built. An OEM tilt shortened 2” is being built as we speak. I opted to have the builder shave off the top indicator and all. I will be going with holley 12.3 pro dash and plan on having a digital PRND321 indicator. Hear is a look at what reversion raceworks 3D prints up from scratch. The steering wheel does require lowering 2” but i figure a tilt and smaller 13 or 14” steering wheel should give plenty of room. Now i just need to get this dash painted and come up with the funds for pro dash

Re: Patina love

Been busy lately not much accomplished. I did buy some firewall heater delete plates. And plan to use vintage air compact heat/defrost unit. I have been completely rewiring the under dash and installed a cool little fuse block. Holley pro Dash showed up yesterday so its time to get some paint on the 3D printed dash panel.
