Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

Your panels look great. Those wood grain overlays can be a real pain to get just right. One more headliner question. I went to the box store and looked at FRP and it comes in two thicknesses. What thickness did you use?

Thanks. I didn't see 2 thicknesses, only a glossy and a satin color style. I purchased mine at Lowes.

I think it's one of these 2:

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

I have been working on the tune and cleaning up some small things. I redid my air intake tube, just need to powdercoat it black and I'll be done with that. I also got the rear door window regulators installed. Hopefully, I will have all of my door parts in next week so I can finish that part of the build.

Did an LED headlight install last night, it's really a night and day difference, .

Got the idea for the lights from looking at boardmember JWALL's square build:

is there a reason that you did not build an airbox like you did on your other builds?

I have my ECM mounted on the core support, so no room to do that this time.

It is looking great! Those LED lights make a huge difference and are a lot more reliable than HID's too.

Looking good Rob! I have a question for you. Did you install any AC for the rear of the Burb? I'm wondering if that's an option and how you did it. I've seen the factory version and it's uhh....interesting

I haven't seen any retro kits for the rear and I only have front air (VA GenIV unit). I insulated the crap out of everything and all of my glass is tinted. Hopefully, that will do the trick....

I keep forgetting you spent all that time swapping to "truck" taillights. That's going to look so cool with the trim and I bet *most* people will have no idea that's not how it's supposed to be

You're correct, 99.9% won't have a clue, but we will, !

Thanks! I will be running the truck trim on min. The Burbs have a factory upper trim, but it is in a different location than the truck trim. It's not reproduced and hard to find.

I love this Burb! Did you decide against using the wood grain in the interior or just haven't gotten around to installing it yet? I'd love to see pics of the interior all buttoned up
