Thanks! It is a 454/TH400 with a Dana70/HD. I dont have any good shots of the interior yet. The truck was a "Western Hauler" edition so it has bucket seats and its loaded!

Nice score. Nice truck.

Thanks Ratty! I think once it is all black with a 3/4 drop and some 19.5 wheels is should look pretty sweet towing the scarab! I would really love to do a static 6/8.5 drop but I fear it would affect its towing ability. I can always squeeze another inch out of the height by adding a 1" drop spring in the nose and removing a few leafs but we will see how it looks with a 3/4 first!

The seats are real comfortable but they are a little low so the seat belt annoys me. I think I am going to raise the seat 2 inches

That looks great, did you just cut the back of the single cab, and the front of the bed, and slide the rear part of a crewcab in the space ? would it have been easier to swap the entire cab? badass looking truck.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

here are some pics of how i had to cut the floor of the new cab to fit. the reg cab frame's step up before the rear doors, and so i had to cut it to clear. the good news is that you get about 2'' or more clerance than your 1 ton crew cab frames. better for wheeling also there's a pic of the cab at the junk yard i bought. Rock on brother.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

That black and copper one was a gasser last I saw it. The guy lives arond Grinnell Iowa who last had it. He had it for sale and was advertising it as a good candidate for a cummins swap. It was pretty reasonable too. I guess another person could have purchased it and swapped one in by noe too.

Here ya go mel, Oh and I forgot you will have to fab up some rear cab mounts. I just cut some out of a crew at the junk yard and welded them in just above the rear hangers. you will have to do the same for the middle one's. the reason i haven't done this is im going to weld some rock sliders to the frame and cab, and i'll gain my support that way. Good luck my friend, and i would love to see your pic's.
