Driver's side disc brake conversion on 2.5" drop spindles, new shock and cleaned/painted controls arms. Wife made me stop last night at 1145pm when she could hear me banging the ball joints loose on the passenger side spindles from the house, whoops!

I pounded the hell out of my left and right spindles until I found a method on this very site: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...32#post7478532 Before this, I think I did more damage using the hammer.

We got the bed on. Took us about 4 hours to tweak the bed and cab bolts so the lines were just right. Will rethink the next two tone.....

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Pulled the left rear leaking wheel cylinder. Decided to do the rear pair... happy I checked, the right side was just as bad, just not leaking out the bottom of the drum yet. I'll order new ones tomorrow! It will be nice to have working brakes again. I should fix my parking brake...

Got to doing some minor bodywork, repaired small rust spots on passenger's door. Installed two Flowmaster Delta 44's (1960, rebuilt 350 and turbo 400....both have 430 miles on them). Getting ready to paint her in a week or two. Ordered my wide whitewalls, they should be installed this Wednesday.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Had to replace my radiator. A friend of mine had one laying around. Only differences are;
Drain is on opposite side and the overflow nipple points towards right side, so will have to have it turned around for overflow bottle. Has anyone used a radiator from Classic Industries? If so does if look original and how is the fit?

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Got great deal on some stuff

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=704301

-Standard rebuilt 72' 250..0 miles!
-Muncie M20 wide? 4 speed w/ mounts for floor shifter?
-Saginaw 3 speed w/floor shifter

Engine and both trans' are clean and rebuilt/resealed

Currently SM318 in the truck
Thinking about the 4 spd (as it also has syncro 1st?)
But need shorter drive shaft(does it has to be made or is there a direct swap out?)

Hopefully engine will go in and be broken in this coming Wed!
So much rain on my days off lately

Finally hooked up my fuel fill. Now we will see if it works good enough to really use. I tacked it in for now.

I absolutely love that.

It's exactly what I have planned for mine, not in the corner at the moment.

Do you have any pics of the process and underside please?

It is just molded rubber gas hose. I got it at http://www.fillernecksupply.com/ther...FUiPfgod5H4IuQ It works ok. The tank won't fill all the way up but pretty close.

I dumped 4 quarts of oil into the engine before I realized the drain plug was not in. I'm an idiot.
