I thought you were joking. I really thought you meant the cantilever 4 links I did on a 55. But it was a Caddy.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Still working on that 57 sedan delivery. I'm finishing up the interior. Just carpeted the back, made seat brackets, mounted the seats, and new carpet in front. I'm working on the front doors now. New fuzzies, repair window regulators, made new door panels, and mounted the center console. I wish all this work was on my truck.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Strodde I just notice you mentioned on Alan's site that you put a T and mounted two temp sensors in it.. How does it work... I was having the same issue with an older intake and found a thremostate cover that had a bung on it for a temp sensor.. Came stock on a mid 60 GM vehicle, a truck I think.. Don't remember its been over 10 years since I got it... One sendor for the fan and one for the guage.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
It's a brass T. I hope it works OK, because I haven't started it yet. Might have to bleed air from it so the sensor reads correctly.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
It shouldn't effect it, unless like I said if it has a air pocket in the Tee.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
the brass conducts the temperature pretty good i think the little air inside wouldn't affect it , maibe making it slower to come up and go down , pressure sensors would be a different matter

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I have used them before both on oil pressure and water temp (to have a gauge and the idiot light in my case) and it works real well normally. Well at least n the olde days of the 60s/70s.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
sorry i think i forgot to mention that i was talking about the airbubble , it might mess up the pressure reading
the T will work fine with everything

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
wat you could do if it gives problems is dril and tap the T for one extra hole and mou8nt one of those central heating burb thingies they mount on radiators , the one with the little key to open it up

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I could just loosen the top sensor, or drill a small hole and tap it for a screw and a seal. Then it could be bled. But that's worse case scenario.

Fail to plan plan to fail. Any idea what size of fitting is used on the low pressure side of a 84 s10 steering pump?
