Thanks Keith I'm thinking it's gonna look good too. I'm a huge fan of trim and badges on these old trucks.

Been sanding and buffing, very slow going. Got the tailgate roughed in, both fenders and one door. I'm taking my time. Trying not to screw up the finish.....

I suspect this is a bit more fun than all those hours of blocking and sanding. All that prep is paying off big time now!

Re: 1969 Short Wide

Awesome work mike. I see all your hard work is paying off. Looks awesome. You think if you found a 6.0 right now you would put it in? Reason I ask is I'm going either 5.3 or 6.0, probably 5.3 for money reasons.

Thanks. I have no plans to change the engine anytime soon. It's the smaller 4.8 but I'm sure it will be fine for a driver. Maybe in the future I'll change to 6.0 or 6.2. Right now all my money is going to finishing it. I want to drive it.

As far as the 6.0 versus 5.3 for you, that's your decision. I have owned both and they both have plenty of power. If your after huge power you can always add a turbo...good luck

Wow!! Your hard work is definitely paying off.. Very nice work Mike. I can't wait too see your truck assembled. The trim looks good on the tailgate. It really makes that Red pop.
