Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
I've been driving this truck since it was new but didn't own it 'til 1980. The utility company that I worked for bought it and assigned it to me. I then bought it when they auctioned it off with 56K on the odo. It had a 292/Turbo 350 with the rear leaf spring option.
[IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] I had it stripped and painted in 1988 and it's holding up pretty well. Last year I rebuilt an LT1/4L60E for it. [IMG][/IMG] |

WOW 73 pages and I'm not blind yet. Amazing. Nice trucks all and here is my 68 307 3OTT LWB base model. Future plans include returning the paint to factory scheme, and slots.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Here's my new ride (in the process of purchasing it and hope to have it in my driveway in a couple of weeks):
It's a '69 C-10 4x4 with a 350, holley 4bbl, headers, 3spd on the column (hope to change to an auto tranny soon so the wife can drive it), zero rust and is clean, clean, clean. I have know of this truck for over 15 years and just happened to visit my hometown at the right time last week, it was for sale and cheap (4k) for such a clean ride. I had always love the way this truck looked and compared every '67-'72 I saw to it...... now I own it! As you can tell, I am stoked! Mac |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Here is my newly acquired 1972 C-20. My grandfather bought it new and I am keeping it in the family. Runs like a champ and has 4.11 posi rear-end. 400 engine and shift kit and rear leaf springs.
I want to clean it up and get it reliable and a little easier to drive everyday. Hope you like it! |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
Love the thread. DJ Racer, I love that Speed Channel thing you did--man, you wiped them out with that fast truck! Went to Pull a Part for lunch--they have a couple of trucks in--one 68 sb step--rotors and axles gone! One 72 long bed, 5 lug disk brakes still there--I started to get em', but I'm gonna stay 6 lug.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
you guys and your local pull a part yards really suck!!!! ( Just Kidding). The only salvage yard that Ive found that has these old trucks is 3 hours away and wont sell anything off of a 67-72 because his son has a couple of them and will restore them some day!!

Here you go. Not much too see now, but it is on its way.
I was told that a two tone stepper is kind of rare, also a Custom Deluxe. Can anyone fill me in with some info. |
