Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Love the look of the large tires/wheels. Man, I've been gone from this stuff too long. I did not even know you converted to a Fleetside! Looks great.

I normally would not go any bigger than 18's but for the look I'm going for the length of the fleetside bed calls for it. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Bam, rims look great. As we all know, tires and wheels can make or break a vehicle. I'm like you I like a decent side wall. Won't be long now buddy, enjoy...Jim

Yeah I don't care for the rubber band look, plus its really damages your wheels if you are ever on a bad road. I hope its not long now.lol Last edited by BAM55; 03-28-2019 at 08:13 PM. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Yes another change.lol I keep looking at my 55 hood and my 58 hood and thought it wood look good if I grafted the 58 hood onto the 55 hood.
Mocked up to see how it would flow. Welding it in. Done |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
holy, that looks terrible. better put it back like it was.
kidding, looks great. I thought of doing that to mine but sold my 58 hood to a guy who needed it real bad. oh well, the system doesn't get any better if we hoard our stuff either. if you keep cutting and welding you're not gonna be driving, lol. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
looks killer as usual bam. Quick question for ya, I see you smoothed the area over hang where the windshield meets the roof. where the factory seam is, in that area did you weld seam completely together or just filler with glass or metal all etc. Just curious for thats the next area on my list to address.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
I see you pancaked the new hood like you did the old hood. nice job. there must be a spool of mig wire in the garbage if you collected the grindings over time and weighed them. haha. for sure at my garage too.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Bam - the hood came out great! -- I liked this idea from the start, and the way you did it was probably easier than mine. Thanks for sharing. Its a lot of work but the end result is a much better looking Task Force Truck!
