Re: PO has me PO'd

Today was a rare exception, everything went right. Double flare on the rear axle worked first time, brakes are done, and clamped to the frame rail with totally stainless 3/16" clamps. I'll let them bleed them. 5th or 6th time on the power steering belt tensioned up today, both belts are now done. Just waiting on some parts I lost (u-bolts) for the drive shaft, and PTO cover plate gasket, both found locally. rear diff. cover sealed up, and both shocks are mounted
also mounted the remote tank for the hydro boost

Now its time for some R&R, thanks giving then a florida trip for a week, hope the fish are biting, and not the bugs

In case someone does not realize, the last 2 "pictures" are actually videos. You have to click on them.

Bag works great for road trips, no rusty bottom. I may have had it just as long as you have, still have my duffel bag, that thing has some miles on it

I think my tool bag was first used by the medics in my MC days

Congrats on your newest award, TOTY

Front hub is disassembled. light rust removed, gave it a couple coats of grease and bees wax, the one you buy at the hardware store (toilet seal ring)

I don't want to take it to far apart, but I don't want it to rust much more, so I use a coating of wax and grease

PO was in here before me, screwed up the bearing races slightly

Not sure if you can see it, but the PO was in here grinding on the bearing seat. some people shouldn't have tools

This maybe my most useful tool yet, worked great for seeing inside hub to align locking rings and plate

Trying to hook up my vacuum gauge, needed to find a coupling that would fit the adapter on the gauge. Home depot had this kit available

Re: PO has me PO'd

my vacuum gauge on the pump is about 5 inches off

[url=https://flic.kr/p/2iDd3L8]20200311_110422

BTW, I want to thank Harlowhead for sending me the female electrical connecter for the harness coming off of my steering column free of charge, not even shipping, what a good member. Things like that make this the best board on the net

Thank you Harlowhead!!!!!
