Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
Thanks guys appreciate all the nice comments on the truck. As far as the brake lines go they are not below the lowest part of the frame. Also they are up a lot. And when this truck is fully aired out the frame is at least 2 inches off the ground. There is really not a lot of room to run things on this frame being round and all of he gussets. Hope this helps. Thank again guys

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
I thought about the samething you did but with the exhaust running through there I really don't have a ton of options. I know you don't want anything hanging under the truck. Lets hope nothing comes up that high and hits it. I am thinking I have it up high enough but I will look to see if I can relocate it but I am sure this was my only option of I want to keep the proportional valve out of sight. I may build something to protect the line. Better to be safe then sorry

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
Maybe a piece of steel plate to protect them? Maybe a strip of milled billet aluminum mounted flush with the frame that has two cut outs for the brake lines to run through?
It's certainly not my truck and mine probably won't be this nice either, lol, but I wouldn't be comfortable with brake lines hanging under the frame that close to the ground. Just my $.02.

Nice! Will the inner fenders be black or the body color?

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
Looking good, Eric! Your attention to detail is outstanding and the work is moving right along.
Hope your Mom and family are doing good. Has she seen the truck lately or are you planning a surprise for her with it complete? Can't wait for more...

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer
Thanks Karl
She has not seen the truck in a while. The truck is in another town 30 minutes away. She is going through chemo and radiation again so she has been really sick. She is on her last round and she will be done with treatment. As of now they say she is cancer free but they said that before to so time will tell. Thanks for asking |
