Hope that you recover quickly Jim. Don't over do it until you are completely healed - then go back to giving her hell.

Re: PO has me PO'd
Thanks guys for all the well wishes, feeling stronger every day, made it to the back porch and was able to post up today.
Trans is getting rebuilt as we speak, they said that parts arent as available as you would think, seems everyone just thru out their old trans and now parts arent as available, as once was. so be it with the classic truck and car market so if you have an old trans dont chuck it, save it Thanks again all for the well wishes, made me feel much better knowing that their are people in this world that care

Re: PO has me PO'd
thanks, but my timing really sucks, as I was supposed to be rock crawling right now with VT Blazer and my boys out in Shmockin, pa, but it gives me one more year to work on my truck, maybe next year

Re: PO has me PO'd
I think I’d vote for grey. At least do the first coat and mount it. Look at it for a couple days, then finish it if you like it.
Somehow missed your trip to the ICU. Glad you’re back in the shop. Posted via Mobile Device |

Just for reference, to see how many different part numbers are out there Thanks Tynee, road to recovery has been slow, my staples are out, but I can't tell how I'm healing on the inside. I'm 3 months out of surgery, dr. Said it could take 6 months The only rubberized undercoat I could find is a 3M body schutz no.08864 in black, maybe tinted with white would give me grey, plus I want to give it a texture finish, I'll use a sponge and see if that works

Decided to go with the dappled look, since I had a old jar of undercoat that went off and left a somewhat chunky solution, seems to have better effect on filling in the pits left by the rust. Now I can look for a grey paint Sorry for getting my finger in the way

Re: PO has me PO'd
I think I'd have to see it on the truck, and I don't think I'd go with Amber if I did it. Strictly personal preference though.

Thank you all for your p/c and unbridled opinions. I'm going to go with the nay, for now, but I may revisit it with KC lights in the near future Now onto my front driveshaft, it was rebuilt by a local driveshaft shop. Never really gave it much thought as it never really made any noise, but when they did my transmission they left it out, telling me it was bad. Sure enough, when I took it to the shop, I couldn't believe how sloppy it was, not only twisting at the splines but up and down deflection, so that is my report OSHA said they couldn't paint it, since they didn't have a spray booth

Thank you GMC and Chevrolet for stamping the same part for a fleet side as a blazer Jimmy

Re: PO has me PO'd
Use the 3 o'clock position on the cutoff wheel, or it will tend to kick back, basically cut forward
